Broken Ashes

I can constantly hear them, the voices. It doesn't matter if I'm in a crowded room or the middle of a desert, I hear them, indistinct voices. I can never really work out what they're saying, and I've long given up trying. Everything changes when my life is threatened again, and the voices quiet, one strong voice telling me to run, so of course, I listen.

I've got some explaining to do, I know that. I mean, I'd have questions if I were in their position, too. The problem is I don't have any answers for them, and I seem to be unable to keep things to myself when I'm around them, which means I, of course, shared, and now they're panicking about how many times I've died. Silly men. It's not like it's a big deal or anything. Oh wait, it is. Then there's Winston and the spirit guides; I don't even know where to start with them.

The problems keep on piling up, we need to fix the breach quickly before something else manages to get through. I can't avoid the poker game again or I will risk making Ernie mad. Of course, nothing is ever simple, not even a poker game or the trip to the training academy. I end up causing more trouble than I intended to and very nearly end up getting my dead situation found out by an unexpected HID agent.
