The absolute best narration you could hope for. Andy Serkis gives life to the legendary work of Tolkien. The voice acting, the singing, the rhythm. You get the lot.

A unexpected version.
I love it.
Amazing voice, amazing read.
The singing was not the best but Andy Serkis gave it it's all so it works.
And Andy Serkis has such a range that every character feels very alive.

Outstanding narration
Andy Serky's performance is excellent. We really are inside the scenes. The only weak point is when he sings...

Absolument génial!
Sans aucun doute la meilleure lecture du Hobbit! J'avais déjà lu le livre il y a des années, mais l'immense atout de cette version audio est sans aucun doute la prestation d'Andy Serkis!! Une lecture vivante plus vraie que nature, tous les personnages sont magnifiquement interprétés et quel frisson d'entendre à nouveau Gollum comme dans les films! Cet acteur est vraiment unique, un des meilleurs livres audio que j'ai écouté - allez-y les yeux fermés.

I don’t need to write anything about the story - but I can’t praise the narrator highly enough! Brilliantly done - the different voices and accents- I recommend absolutely

Amazing reading by Andy Serkis
I just loved hearing The Hobbit. I've only read it several times in my own langage (french) and i wanted to hear it in English, to practice… I do not regret it ! Andy was amazing and i was so impatient to listen to the Gollum part, and i wasn't disappointed.

La 3D sonore
Qui aime Tolkien ne peut qu'aimer ce livre. Andy Serkis est un narrateur extraordinaire qui donne vie à tous les personnages en changeant sa voix avec une dextérité sans pareille. Le fait qu'il ait incarné la voix de Gollum dans les films d'après Tolkien nous met vraiment dans l'ambiance. Ce livre est un pur régal.
