Great continuation of the Horus Heresy

What did you love best about The Flight of The Eisenstein?

The rich language and detailed descriptions Swallow used in this book impressed me and Keebles performance kept me engaged.

What other book might you compare The Flight of The Eisenstein to and why?

Galaxy in Flames : The Horus Heresy. This book provides a deeper look into plot from other character's perspectives.

What about Jonathan Keeble’s performance did you like?

Overall Voice and characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, but I often found myself listening to 1 more chapter than intended.

Nat Garro is another great hero "with purpose"

This book is gripping from start to finish. Even though the first two-thirds cover the same story as the previous books, the battle of Istvan III, they give an amazing new perspective of a loyalist in a different legion.

Good but roughly Narrated

While I enjoyed the story and writing quite well, I felt that the narration could have been better. It was at times forced and while emotion was adequately displayed it simple felt as it was was too overdone and dramatic.

I found this to be a good story. I felt it improved more after half way through the book. from that point on I was driven to finish it.

captivating story and narrator

a sci-fi must. Ships as vast as planets, superhuman soldiers, all shrouded by a mist of treachery and deceit.

Excellent!

This one threw me off a bit at first introducing so many new characters, new narrator and changing the point of view. However it trumps many of the other books and is on par with the first of the Horus Heresy.

A lot of repetition

The performance by Keeble was excellent, but the first 1/3 of the book is essentially a repeat of the last novel from a SLIGHTLY different perspective. The originality content was engaging enough, especially the descriptions of the creatures of the warp, though I felt like Garro was essentially cut from the same cloth as Loken, with the only real difference being his embrace of the emperor’s divinity.

awesome read

author does a great job describing all of the locations and people as well as all the crazy beasts and the wars they wage a cross this epic universe. Couldn't ask for more out of the narrator, really nice job!
