Different angle, same early story, different end
The story starts with the same events as the last book but from Garro's view. Then it picks up a little, then clams, them picks up again. I found myself less hooked than with the previous ones but very very interested in finishing it!
Gotta build the characters up after all.

Nice 2nd view on Istvaan III and Deth Guard
Great audiobook, with a nice performance. It serves to have a 2nd and different view on events related in the previous HH book. Also it is nice as an introduction to the Death Guard and what they will become thanks to Nurgle...

Great continuation of the Horus Heresy
What did you love best about The Flight of The Eisenstein?
The rich language and detailed descriptions Swallow used in this book impressed me and Keebles performance kept me engaged.
What other book might you compare The Flight of The Eisenstein to and why?
Galaxy in Flames : The Horus Heresy. This book provides a deeper look into plot from other character's perspectives.
What about Jonathan Keeble’s performance did you like?
Overall Voice and characters.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, but I often found myself listening to 1 more chapter than intended.

Just ok.
The book is fine by itselft but as part of a series it struggles. Story wise there is tremendous overlap with the other books, making it impossible to have any excitment or sense if urgency. You already know whatas going to happen from the other books.
The performance while not bad by any stretch of the imagination was a stuggle to listen to as the voice and sytle of speech does match the same character s from the previous novels. They should have kept the same actor or dobe some research to immitate the voices from the other titles.

Mediocre story, the narration is weird
The story was nothing special, there were some interesting bits of lore, but in my opinion, Graham McNeil does a much better work at describing the corruption a Chaos.
The narrator goes pretty much overboard with the acting; half the Death Guard (even in their uncorrupted state) sound like zombie orcs, there are some that speak like Gollum (Kaleb, most notably), and some are so posh (Voyen maybe), that such an acting could only fit an arrogant playboy like Fulgrim. Towards the end it got better, or maybe I just got used to is (hence the 3 stars for the narrator.)

My favorite of the series so far.
Was so sad to see that Toby wasn’t narrating this book, but Jonathan did it justice. The transition from the last book to this one was so well done. Hell, I got excited just from reading the description before I started it. Top notch series and I’m so glad that there’s plenty more in store. Onto book five I go!

Good writing, great voice acting
Narration and voice acting is AMAZING. this book felt a little slow, maybe because it overlapped story from the last book.

It feels like he didn't read the first three book
Terrible wouldn't recommend! Dorn forgets Garviel Loken the man he suggested to be the fourth member of the Mornival. And super Mary Sue takes up too much space in the novel when they should have Reserve some more time Mercity Alton and Sidermen.

Good Liste
The weakest story and narator thus far into the series. Still both are very enjoyable.

Great book, narrator could use some work
The narrator has some hard "S"es in his reading. Makes it hard to listen with headphones.
Some of the character renditions weren't particularly great either, like the primearchs and the saint.

A fine grimdark adventure
Part 4 doesn't quite reach the heights of its predecessors with all their pathos and grandeur, but is a thrilling adventure nevertheless. The story is far more self-contained and could be enjoyed by someone who has not read parts 1-3 yet.

Sharp s-sounds but otherwise well done!
My biggest issue is with the reading are the sharply aspirated s-sounds of the narrator, which can sound a bit painful on higher volumes.
Other than that, the narration was really good, and the book itself captivating

A detour from the first three books
It starts with the events of the last von from another perspective and takes quite a while to enter a new chapter of the story. The wiring is not as solid as the former book. And the narrator voices any female character like Gollum - very irritating with Euphrati being an important character.

Ave Imperator, Gloria in excelsis Terra
Beschte....
