Description

Legendary leadership and elite performance expert Robin Sharma introduced The 5AM Club concept over 20 years ago, based on a revolutionary morning routine that has helped his clients maximise their productivity, activate their best health and bulletproof their serenity in this age of overwhelming complexity.

Now, in this life-changing audiobook, handcrafted by the author over a rigorous four-year period, you will discover the early-rising habit that has helped so many accomplish epic results while upgrading their happiness, helpfulness and feelings of aliveness.

Through an enchanting - and often amusing - story about two struggling strangers who meet an eccentric tycoon who becomes their secret mentor, The 5am Club will walk you through:

  • How great geniuses, business titans and the world’s wisest people start their mornings to produce astonishing achievements.
  • A little-known formula you can use instantly to wake up early feeling inspired, focused and flooded with a fiery drive to get the most out of each day.
  • A step-by-step method to protect the quietest hours of daybreak so you have time for exercise, self-renewal and personal growth.
  • A neuroscience-based practice proven to help make it easy to rise while most people are sleeping, giving you precious time for yourself to think, express your creativity and begin the day peacefully instead of being rushed.
  • ‘Insider only’ tactics to defend your gifts, talents and dreams against digital distraction and trivial diversions so you enjoy fortune, influence and a magnificent impact on the world.

Part manifesto for mastery, part playbook for genius-grade productivity and part companion for a life lived beautifully, The 5AM Club is a work that will transform your life. Forever.

Very rich in content, but poor in presentation.

I am a big fan of Robin Sharma and like most of his podcasts. I was looking forward to listening to this book for a while, but I must say that it is not what I expected, at least the presentation is not.
The book is great in terms of contents; it is full of inspiring ideas and great quotes (typical of Robin Sharma), but they are presented through a cheesy story which I found distracting, and at times annoying. It would have been a five-star book, if the contents were delivered in a normal direct way, and read by the author himself.

Big change in life after knowing this philosophy

Actually, I first found out Robin Sharma (the author) in his Youtube Channel. I watched at least 10 videos of him talking about leadership and the 5 am club and methods. After some days practicing the 20-20-20 formula, I learned about this book. It was very cool because I started to listen to it while I was in my first pocket 20 from the 20-20-20formula of each day, so it stimulates me more than ever.

The history is good, but the writing is too romanticized and little bit often repetitive. But the overall is great since there are some very good insights craved on it. I would love to have the best points resumed somewhere, where instead of 11h of audio, we would have bonus audio with less than 1 hour. For our luck, there is a PDF where you can download after reading resuming the concepts. I suggest to print it out and write your interpretation of each point from the audiobook.

As bad as it gets

I’ll start by saying that The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma is one of my favourite books but don’t waste your time investing in this. The teachings are general good outside of some ridiculous notions like ‘invest in 2 massages a week or prepare to die early’. But you don’t need the book to learn the teachings, there is more than enough information online as Robin has been spouting about this stuff for years. As for the story, it is terrible beyond belief, so corny that it’s a struggle to finish. Some people have complained about the narrator but nobody could save this mishmash of a story, the characters are dreadful, the storyline is so farfetched it is ludicrous, the Entrepreneur ‘twerking’ across a room is a typical example of how cheesy the story is. It is actually idiotic at times, I’m not sure what Robin is aiming for here but its so far off the mark, it is written as a book for children. Only a Robin Sharma fanboy would give this 5 stars.

How disappointing

Leave story writing to Stephen King and talk straight. The whole story is a distraction from
The message

I really wanted to finish this but couldn't listen

I am such a Robin fan and I looked forward to this book with much anticipation. I really couldn't listen to the narrator for long, I tried a few times at different times
, but just couldn't. The "animation" of the different voices was grating and really distracted from the message. I still want to finish this, but I am going to have to buy it in hard copy and find time to read it myself.

This was a story!!

Written as a story, the message was well communicated, but a little childish. I appreciate the teaching and got the message, the book would very likely have been a lot shorter if it had been written as non-fiction.

Great message wrapped in a mediocre story

The values and principles and practices in the book are awesome.
These are wrapped in a story, which is, well, a bit tacky and does not contribute to getting the message.

Why the love story!?!

Obviously he knows what he's talking about, but to put us through HOURS of a lame romantic soap box was NOT cool.. There should be a shortened version for people not interested in story telling.. Wow, that was just TOO long, boring & often cringe worthy..

Great book but why did you let THIS guy read it...

The author has such a great voice, but sadly he is not narrating it. Instead it's a guy with a horrible voice. Almost not possible to listen to. The content is amazing, I just can't get over the dude narrating. I hope it's just me...

self-improvment through storytelling

Speaker is a no-go

I love the content from Robin Sharma. His Youtube videos are a great inspiration and full of enlightning messages. His voice is pleasant to hear and easy follow. That´s why I absolutely don´t understand why for his audio-book he hired a speaker with a terrible voice. Sorry I´m even so annoyed by this voice that I stopped the audio book half-way through to buy the hardcopy book.

Deeply inspirational and real life applicable

I’ve listened to the 5am Club in the hope to form a habit of getting up early every day of the week to live at full productivity. I’m a 23 year old student and even though I not yet get up at 5am I get up at 6am and perform the teachings of this audiobook. I feel like I am much more centred and focused, not only on short term goals but also life goals. This book masters the balance of a great and exciting story with invaluable lessons for personal growth and one is even deeply touched by the stories ending! Credits to the superb speaker.
