Great Sales Book

I started with 10X Rule and just finished Sell or Be Sold. Great book for sales and I love the aggressive unapologetic approach. Grant's philosophy starts to sink in quickly and really makes you think.

Among the Greatest Books on Sales! A Must Read!

Would you consider the audio edition of Sell or Be Sold: How to Get Your Way in Business and in Life to be better than the print version?

Most definitely, the audio book has the added advantage of a Grant Cardone performance, and what a performance it is. If he ever gets tired of sales (highly unlikely...) he could always read books for Audible.com and would probably be better than most narrators ;-))

I can only recommend this book to anyone in sales. Grant Cardone will change your thought process. I listen to the book while working out at the gym and I'm replaying various chapters in my car. Once you've listened to it, rinse and repeat.

Grant Cardone fan for the rest of my life!!

If you could sum up Sell or Be Sold: How to Get Your Way in Business and in Life in three words, what would they be?

Motivational, Eye-Opening, Hilarious.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Grant calls you out! I absolutely love it, he puts things in a relative way, the book kept me interested because he is so personable and says whats on his mind so matter how blunt it may seem.

What does Grant Cardone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He positive attitude, I feel like I am having a conversation with my father or grandfather.

Don't call about "The Book" Grant Mentions

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If he would not have pitched Dianetics and Scientology and just stuck to sales info.

What was most disappointing about Grant Cardone’s story?

The pitching of Dianetics

How did the narrator detract from the book?

By trying to sell Dianetics

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Sell or Be Sold: How to Get Your Way in Business and in Life?

I would have cut the part where he mentions a book that he says is important to understanding people so you can sell, then won't tell you the title of the book so you have to call his company, and then finding out that he is trying to sell Dianetics.

Any additional comments?

I don't care what your belief system is, I will buy good products and services from anyone of any faith, but do not try to pitch your ideology as part of you product, especially in a dishonest and ambiguous way. That is incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate. I gave the book 2 stars instead of 1 because the info. is decent.

Phenomenal Book for Everyone

Grant Cardone is on fire as he reveals his personal sales techniques. This is a must read for everyone, not just those who are in sales for a living. All of us sell every day. We sell ourselves to others. We sell our ideas to others. We sell our presentations to others.

I have had a temper problem my entire life, but I now understand that tempers stop sales. Anything we do that negatively influences others means that we just lost the sale. What a change this book is making on my life! What an impact it is having on my relationships with others!!! What a change this book is making within me!!! This is a must read for everyone.

Please, please, please disregard the negative reviews, Either those people have their lives all put together or they are fooling themselves.

Does Grant come across kind of arrogantly? Yep, but don't miss what he is saying.

Some Great Tips But Lots of Right Hooks

There were some really good tips, and I was loving it the first half of the book until it turned into a major infomercial for Grant's products and services.

He also lost me in a Chapter where he frequently used the words "itchbay" and "ickday" (pig Latin) repeatedly.

Some good tips, but it turned me off from listening to his other books. I may just buy the paperback version from now on.

A Salesmen Must Read

Would you listen to Sell or Be Sold: How to Get Your Way in Business and in Life again? Why?

Yes I would, Everyday for 2 hrs/day for 90days - this book will get your mind right as a Salesmen

What did you like best about this story?

It changed for me what it means to be in sales, and I realized that there is not never not a time that I am not selling something, someone, or myself, am I not.

What about Grant Cardone’s performance did you like?

Grant Cardone is the Man, One Hundred Grand!!! meaning if you read this book and apply it to your Sales Career, there is not any reason you will not never not ever not have a six figure year.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Quite disappointing

I’m disappointed by how underwhelming this book was. Considering the high number of strong reviews and ratings the book had, I had high hopes for it. Instead, the advice that Cardone offers is unoriginal, repetitive and tiresome. The book is billed as one that can help readers/listeners whether they are in a sales profession or not, however the story quickly turns its focus to almost entirely speak to salespeople exclusively.
I admit I mostly enjoyed the conversational nature of the narration. I thought Cardone’s voice and color made the story tolerable and added some much needed wit at times. With that said, the narration wasn’t enough to outweigh the disappointment I felt knowing that I gained very little from this story that will help me in sales and in life.

The best sales training you will ever get!

Would you listen to Sell or Be Sold: How to Get Your Way in Business and in Life again? Why?

I listen everyday in my car, as well as when I am relaxing at home. I listen this audio before I go on a sale... it just keeps your training fresh.... and pumps you up!

What other book might you compare Sell or Be Sold: How to Get Your Way in Business and in Life to and why?

Well, Grant Cardone also authors and narrates two other audios which are equally incredible, in my opinion.... The 10X Rule and If You're not First, You're Last!.... besides Think and Grow Rich, I think these are the only audios you need for success.

What about Grant Cardone’s performance did you like?

He tells it like it is!.... No B.S.... and he knows his stuff... Great motivator and.Great Salesman!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I periodically listen to it, over and over.... I drill it in my head

Any additional comments?

I have listened to different speakers for 25 years, and Grant Cardone is on the top of my List. He is very unique in every which way. I would not listen if he wasn't the narrator... He's that good! ... He also shows by example, which is inspiring. Check him out on youtube

Scientology advertising and useless advice

The author asks twice to call his office and get a copy of dianetics, the Scientology Mindwash bible.

The rest of the book contains useless advice like „be nice to your customers“.

awesome and bold

loved the audio book. inspired me to take the right action and gave me a lot of thoughts, that I want to implement into my life and career.

PS: can yet only predicthow much it helps for career, but the concept of hard selling definitely helps for your relationship. ;) "No not right now, its not the right time..." "Yeah you're right, I agree with you... and thats why it'll be even better" - talking about taking a vacation obviously.

Selling Yourself Is Your Duty..

Absolutely key for anyone doing anything (teachers, consultants, experts, knowledge workers, agencies, authors etc - and salesmen of course).

Grant is the master of sales! I couldn't think of anyone else in the world that understands this topic as well as him (and Jordan Belfort perhaps).
