Her style doesn't resonate with me at all

This book was written as a commercial. It took an effort of will to finish it, it was soooo annoying! The info is mostly ok, nothing new, just annother low carb diet book. But the style is just impossible! At times it was down right condescending!
I've been eating low carb for almost 6 months now and lost over 10 kilos. I started after reading Grain Brain, and realising that i was probably insulin resistant and at any rate quite a slave to carbs. But had i read this book first, i doubt i would have ever started, the tone would have soooo put me off, i got annoyed avery 5 minutes or so! Luckily i've only decided to take a look at this now in case it had some hidden gem. I haven't found any, appart from the realization that JJ's style is not compatible with my personality and i should probably stay away from her books.

Simply Amazing!

Even though I didn't follow the recipes or plate recommend really well with not enough time to be ready for the diet, I've lost 7 pounds in 6 days! Love how she proves everything with studies etc and her good humor. Plus, simple tips on day to day eating with easy to do steps that help a LOT! Thank you for this amazing book and movement against sugar that you started. Highly recommended book for everyone.

Diet for health and life

Not only dropping the sneaky sugars improved my weight, but also gave me more energy overall. I used to be very depressed and in a bad mood needing to eat sugar all the time, always having headaches and low energy. After making only 1 week of this diet, I feel now energized, optimistic, without headaches, and looking forward to reach to my goals in life. I'm another myself, I can't barely recognize my new "me"! Totally recommend it for anyone either trying to lose weight or feel your health improve fast.

A health/nutrition lifesaver !!!!

This book opened my eyes !!
Just like big pharma & big med do not always have patients' best interest in mind, big food/tampered food are mostly concerned with profit regardless of the ingredients they use and the repercussions they have the public's health and ultimately healthcare system .....

Relief at Last!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

As a child of the 70's...when high fructose corn sugar became popular, I was the poster child of someone who became a sugar burner by default. I can now see that my diet was predominately filled with glucose and especially fructose. After decades of blaming my lack of willpower for weight struggles and health problems, this book has provided a clear path to success for me. I have been searching for years for the correct information and now realize the advice I have received through the years actually made matters worse. "Sugar Impact Diet" is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to stop spinning their wheels and start losing weight. Actually, the weight loss is just a bonus. The real joy lies in not craving something to eat every two hours and feeling guilty for it. The most amazing gift this book gives is the freedom to know what it feels like to be healthy and to at last, see the light at the end of an extremely long tunnel.

A diet that needs a support group? Eh!

learned a couple small things but so many rules created by one person. anybody can design their own diet to sell. a person should try to loose the stress to loose the weight. I would not recommend this book unless you really don't know anything about eating healthy. I once stopped anything with sugars for a month & that didn't cure anything, some people it takes a year to loose the cravings.
