In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves.... Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding. It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans - except Katniss.

Histoire
I was just a normal kid, I went to school (got expelled a lot, but that wasn't my fault), played sports and hung out with my best friend.Until I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher. Now, I spend my time at Camp Half Blood, battling monsters and generally trying to stay alive. And now that Zeus thinks I've stolen his lightning bolt, staying alive is going to be even harder....
Description
"There it was, hanging in the sky above the school: the blazing green skull with a serpent tongue, the mark Death Eaters left behind whenever they had entered a building...wherever they had murdered...."
When Dumbledore arrives at Privet Drive one summer night to collect Harry Potter, his wand hand is blackened and shrivelled, but he does not reveal why. Secrets and suspicion are spreading through the wizarding world, and Hogwarts itself is not safe. Harry is convinced that Malfoy bears the Dark Mark: there is a Death Eater amongst them. Harry will need powerful magic and true friends as he explores Voldemort's darkest secrets, and Dumbledore prepares him to face his destiny....
Having now become classics of our time, the Harry Potter audiobooks never fail to bring comfort and escapism to listeners of all ages. With its message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.
Theme music composed by James Hannigan.

Best book of the Harry Potter Series
Love is oozing from every page, as pieces of the puzzle come together and some philosophical problems are considered. Should an action be judged according to the intent of the actor or to the result of the action? Is one 's behaviour dependent on Nature or Nurture? To me, the most clever book in the Harry Potter series.

The most perfect narration, most wonderful story.
Stephen Fry's performance throughout the whole of hp series have been overwhelmingly perfect, and personally I enjoyed the sixth-this one- most, because of its richness of all kinds of emotions. And Stephen Fry can portray the movie-version of Hagrid better than anyone I've ever seen! Five stars from me, best audiobook ever.

UNLIKEABLE HARRY
Listening to the series book by book, I have found myself disliking Harry more and more. I think JK is aiming for character conflict or she is trying to depict what she believes are the turbulent emotions of puberty, but in these last books Harry, Ron and Hermione are coming off as semi-hysterical, totally self-involved, cardboard cut-outs of their former selves - especially Harry. I am starting to cringe any time Harry appears in a scene because I know within a few moments he will throw a tantrum, lose his temper, insult everyone he can reach, and do something stupid and have his scar ache. Maybe this is just the most convenient plot device JK could come up with to cover a dull moment, but to my surprise I really have come to dislike Harry and wish he would shut up and go away for a while. I am even beginning to understand Malfoy's antipathy. Stephen Fry is an amazing narrator.

Emotional story + great narrating = Perfection
Currently revisiting the audio books and getting them on Audible for convenience, I am both sad and thrilled to have already reached the end of the 6th book.
It has been a wild ride all over again, despite the many times I have read and listened to these books in the past.
In the 5th book, we experienced Harry's anger, his temper, his growing frustration with the world and the people that gave him such a hard time and mistreated him so.
In this book, we see him grow past that, see him grieve and work through his rollercoaster of emotions, make mistakes and learn from them, and we learn about the greater, underlying challenge of facing Voldemort's past, present and future and figuring out how to face him and end the fight for real.
The trio doesn't fight too much, though there is of course the drama between Ron and Hermione for a long while due to Lavender, but even that doesn't feel like too much, and both sides can be related to in one way or another.
I still dislike how tactless Hermione comes across at times, not just being a know-it-all as we know, but almost insufferably so, whereas Harry and his hunches get brushed aside repeatedly and all that is said afterwards is 'oops oh well we couldn't have known, you know..' and it never gets mentioned again.
We learn a lot about Voldy's past and his big secret, and in general there are a lot of things that properly come to light in this book. As a whole, it might well be my favorite after Order of the Phoenix, even if we don't face Voldy himself in this one.
Stephen Fry, as I have said for every HP book so far (and will undoubtedly do again for the next and last one), does a truly marvelous job bringing the story to life and giving the characters fitting voices that don't sound too shrill or exaggerated. His voice is soothing and wonderful to listen to, and I'm already looking forward to visiting this series again. (Which, knowing myself, will probably be fairly soon, despite all the other books I still want to listen to haha)
Already hyped for the next and last part that will pull everything together into the last, big adventure!
