Description

A courageous, life-changing memoir that teaches us to apply the lessons learned by those nearing their death to our own life.

After too many years of unfulfilling work, Bronnie Ware began searching for a job with meaning. Despite having no formal qualifications or experience, she found herself working in palliative care.

During the time she spent tending to the needs of those who were dying, Bronnie's life was transformed. Later, she wrote an Internet blog post about the most common regrets that the people she had cared for had expressed to her. The post, also called 'The Top Five Regrets of the Dying', gained so much momentum that it was viewed by more than three million people worldwide in its first year. At the request of many, Bronnie now shares her personal story.

Bronnie has had a colourful and diverse life. By applying the lessons of those nearing their death to her own life, she developed an understanding that it is possible for everyone, if they make conscious choices, to die with peace of mind. In this heartfelt retelling, Bronnie expresses the significance of these regrets. She explains how we can address these issues positively now, while we still have the time.

The Top Five Regrets of the Dying: A Life Transformed by the Dearly Departing gives hope for a better world. Bronnie's delightful memoir is a courageous, life-changing book that will leave you feeling more compassionate and inspired to live the life you are truly here to live.

Ennuyée par l’orateur / annoyed by the speaker

The speaker is very boring !
L’orateur est très ennuyeux , c’est vraiment dommage car le contenu avait l’air super mais impossible de suivre l’histoire avec cette voix qui vous endort.

Ok book

Ok book - more of an autobiography of the author with a lot of irrelevant information and stories. I was thinking it was more of a dive into the top five regrets of the dying, which seemed to be only a small part of the book.

More About Her Life Than the Dying

The book's title is a bit deceptive. It's really about her journey as a caretaker in the persons she ran across. While her sample size is larger than most people would have, it's far from a scientific study. Nonetheless the points are well-made, and it's hard to argue with some of her conclusions.

Just google a summary instead

Dont buy this book if you just want to know the top five regrets of the dying!

The author uses much of the the book to describe her own life experiences at tedious length mixed with her own pocket philosophy and new age bla bla. This is not what I expected. I want my money back.

Deeply recommended

This book and its stories will talk to the depths of the heart and you will be better because of it. The stories instill the very real, but never talked about aspects of death, that will prepare you for loss in your life and the principles to never live with these regrets

Misleading

The book’s fine but miss Ware failed to mention the sixth top regret of the dying:

6. Purchasing this book :/

I’m being dramatic of course but this book could easily be half short & twice strong. The title is impressively deceptive, it’s way more of an autobiography than a thorough exploration of dying people’s regrets the title implies. It’s almost an art the way Bron Bron talks so much yet says so little.

Heart warming and awakening. I loved it!

This is the best audible book I've heard, and the best book I've experienced in a long long time. The author's personal narration made this to a truly nice experience. There is so much true wisdom shared in such down to earth language. Certainly no one will regret hearing this narration.

Most powerful book I’ve read in years

This was like a shot of spiritual growth straight to the heard. I can’t remember a book that has opened my heart as much and made me laugh, cry, and feel motivated in quite the same way. You won’t regret listening and being affected by this work and I hope you give it a go very soon.
