Abridged? .... Really?
I really like this book,but I HATE books that are abridged. Pity, cause it is a good book.

Thumbs Up
The book kept moving at a very good pace, never a lull in the action. It is similar to other serial killer mystery type books as far as the way events occur, but that's to be expected. There weren't any "unbelievable" characters or events as in other books with supercops or superkillers if you know what I mean. It is only a 5 hour book and it went really fast.
The only problem I had with it was the female reader. It was difficult, especially in the beginning to determine which character was speaking. A few times I had to go back and figure it out. She didn't vary voices often enough, as I've heard other readers do. She did read with enthusiasm though which kept me interested the entire time. Overall, I thought it was very good.

Terrible audio quality
I felt like I was listening to this book on an old AM radio, which made it difficult to really get into the story. I can't believe this hasn't been fixed.

Awful audio
While the book is great, as usual, the audio is terrible. It sounds like it sound like a poor recording done in a closet. It's reminiscent of a landline telephone audio from the 80's. It's incredibly difficult to listen to without focusing on the subpar audio. If it wasn't #2 in a series I'd delete it and request a refund. I'm disappointed.

Terrible Audio
The audio was very poor quality. It was like there was interference, but other titles were fine. I quit listening after a less than 10 minutes because I couldn’t stand to listen anymore.

Sound quality lacking
I can not identify the problem exactly but this recording doesn’t sound as good as other book recordings.

audio sounds like it was recorded over the phone
Really was a struggle to get into. When the "twists" in the story came about I was confused and quickly realized that I didn't care what was happening

The audio is hard to get to. I have read that it was abridged as well. I can't find that info, but I do feel like things were missing. The story is great though.

Yes, sounds like old fashioned AM radio audio
I'm only about an hour into the story and the sound is driving me up the wall. I want to finish it because I want to get into the series. The narrator is better than the first narrator but it's hard to get into it with such poor audio quality. I'm glad it's a shorter book.
As far as the story itself, so far so good.
