Description
Little is known about Luis Montalvo, one of the world's most wanted men, except that he is extraordinarily dangerous and that he never takes no for an answer. Now he wants Eve's help in the worst way. He believes they have something in common, and he's about to prove it with a grisly warning.

Could not get into it
I love this author and this line of characters however I felt that the tone of the person reading made the main character, Eve Duncan feel weak. I could not listen the whole way through, although I am new to audio books and that could be part of it. In the end I bought the book and read it in four hours and loved every min. I did however have to get around having listened to the first few chapters. Eve took on a odd tone for me having listened to it. Sample it for yourself!

very good book
I have always like Iris Johansen's work and this book was no exception. She developes the story line well and keeps you engaged until the very end. The only part i was dissatisfied with was the narration, the readers accents seem a bit off and i found them distracting, but over all i enjoyed this selection

a filler???
a cross between a danielle steele and fabio romance, almost gaggy. johansen usually much better with the suspense and intrigue.

I love Iris Johansen but...
I love all of Iris Johansen's Eve Duncan books. I'm reading my way through the whole series. I decided to try audio books but I'm disappointed. Jennifer Van Dyck sounds as though her mouth is over flowing with saliva. It makes me cringe a bit. Her accents are also horrible. I"m going to read this book for myself because listening to her voice has ruined it for me. I think from now on I'll read all of Iris Johansen books for myself so they aren't spoiled by narrators like Jennifer.

had hard time staying interested
story was ok, pretty predictable.. I did not like the reader's voice for Eve (sounded like a she had a forced southern drawl]
I have enjoyed some of her other books more.

Too much testosterone for me
I've loved Eve and Quinn in all the previous books but both characters in this book were annoying. Eve just made stupid choices and Quinn's "he-man" attitude just made me cringe. Not the best from Johanson.

Eve Strong women
Eve is a strong women but sometimes it isn't such a good thing for her or others! I think she takes a lot for granted when it comes to Joe! But good story
