The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Description
"'You are sharing the Dark Lord's thoughts and emotions. The Headmaster thinks it inadvisable for this to continue. He wishes me to teach you how to close your mind to the Dark Lord.'"
Dark times have come to Hogwarts. After the Dementors' attack on his cousin Dudley, Harry Potter knows that Voldemort will stop at nothing to find him. There are many who deny the Dark Lord's return, but Harry is not alone: a secret order gathers at Grimmauld Place to fight against the dark forces. Extremely unnerving
Harry is a pain through out. Stephen Fry is always a plus but some of the tones he chose here are overdone. Of course most are purely brillant. The overall story lacks some coherence. Most of the time, I found myself wondering if all the Wizard World population was simply dumb, or if it was some poorly written scenaristic shortcuts. I've always loved the universe, but even that cannot compensate for the absurdities in this particular story, in terms of people's behaviors and general mood, i.e. how the story made me feel while reading, though this bit seems rather subjective, in the end. ^^

I had simply forgotten how well-written this book is. The performance of Stephen Fry enhances the experience but the story in itself is simply beautiful. Harry's faced with his being a teenager in so many different ways.. He's more short-tempered, more vulnerable and more human than ever. Wonderful!

An incredible reading!!!
I have been a fan of Harry Potter, or maybe I should say JK Rowling, since the beginning, But never I had enjoyed this book, my favorite of the series, like this before. Mr Fry breathes new, detailed and nuanced life into the characters.
I understood many things that my own reading (one reads faster in silence) did not reveal to me. The movie does not do any justice to the story, even if it is a good movie. Gary Oldman, as passionate an actor as he is, is no match for Mr Fry's careful and believable creation. And his Dumbledore is also a new version of the wise, beautiful old magician. Mr Fry's is more mysterious, more human, incredibly caring. This was lovely. Thank you.

Tolle Geschichte, super gelesen! Daumen hoch!

Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home
Perfect, like all of the Harry Potter audiobooks. They couldn't have picked a better narrator than Stephen Fry. Listening to this is like coming home - over and over and over. The book itself is, of course, superb - but I assume everyone will be familiar with the HP books by now. And if not, what are you waiting for? Start listening right now and let yourself become enchanted with the magical world, great characters, and a gripping story about friendship, growing up, heroism, loyalty, family, and love. The HP saga is truly unparalleled.

Würden Sie Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Book 5 noch mal anhören? Warum?
