When life hands you lemons, you can either make lemonade or lob them like hand grenades at your problems. Nothing is going as Idina Moorfield planned. It’s what happens when magical powers you don’t know you have manifest when you least expect it. Idina needs to make new plans, even if those plans are loosely based on her CO telling her to figure things out. Time to make lemonade. There’s all sorts of tasks Idina and her unit could be doing. Getting them to help out is another issue. Can she figure out how to get them to help her without asking them to help?

Idina Moorfield isn't the only one on her team with unusual powers. Her buddy, Stop, remembers everything he sees, and Cake is a new kind of man of steel. That's the last two, which means everyone in Idina's unit has a unique talent. Why would the Army want to bring them all together? Her commander, Hines, is still refusing to answer her questions. She's on a need-to-know basis, and right now, she doesn't need to know. But Idina's untapped powers are getting stronger and more aggressive. Not knowing on a battlefield can get someone hurt.

Lieutenant Colonel Richard MacBlair has appeared out of thin air. Idina Moorfield has far more questions than the few answers her Uncle is willing to give her. He wants her to wait and she's tired of waiting. Does she have a choice? Not really when Uncle is also your boss. Why is he trying to ignore their family connection? Has he been helping her from the sidelines all along? Someone is gunning for Idina and has her in its sights. She just doesn't know who or what it is.

Richard MacBlair has all the answers Idina Moorfield needs and is finally willing to share them. Well, most of them. Who knew there was a whole special forces division? Dedicated to people exhibiting magical powers to deal with unique challenges? Things are starting to make a lot more sense to Idina. But a lot more changes may be coming her way. She has to face new challenges. A series of tests to determine if she's good enough for a new special forces group.

A new unit, new challenges, and possibly new friends await Idina Moorfield as she joins other magicals in the military to train against magical monsters.

Idina Moorfield and Hellion Squadron are going on their first mission. Months and months of training is finally paying off. No amount of training could have prepared them for this. A monster unlike anything they have seen before. Idina and her team are going to have to come up with new tactics to capture or kill this monster . . . if they can. The world is changing. Magic is changing. Can Idina, Richard, and Hellion Squadron adapt to the changes and stay on top of the monster threat they're facing?

Idina Moorfield's elemental magic has changed. The problem may be spreading. Now, it's affecting Hellion Squadron and the monsters they face. But how does Idina's team do their job when magic keeps changing all the rules before they can learn them? Hellion's missions can't pause just because Bravo Team's abilities are causing a little more havoc than normal. They'll have to improvise, work together, and cover each other's backs until Uncle Richard's deadly research provides either an explanation or something they can use. If it ever does.

Video footage of their last mission is threatening the program's anonymity, making tensions rise. Bravo Team even took out their last target, but they still can't seem to win. Is Hellion Command falling apart from the inside out, because even their commander can't keep his magic under control. Commander may have found a pattern to their problems, but hang on, it's bigger than anyone thought. Just how thin can Idina and her team stretch themselves before they break under pressure?

Now that they've recognized the pattern, Idina and her unit need to close the Monstrous Pandora's Box to balance out the scales after defeating the Olc. But supernatural entities in Scotland are nothing like what Bravo Team has dealt with back home. Neither is magic. That's a problem when their primary objective is to get in, stop the source of monsters, and get back out. When everything leads Idina and her team back to her Muirden ancestral home in Scotland, the mission takes on a completely different meaning none of them saw coming.
