Very hard to get through
If this was Bourne's first novel, he probably wouldn't have a career as an author. Weakly written characters, and none of them were interesting. Only the survival aspect of Junior was anything that approaches entertaining. The story barely existed. It could have been told in a hour.
The only character I wound up caring about by the end of this 8hr torture session was the bear.

My only flaw in this new creation by J.L.Bourne is ...that it was not longer !! Strap in ! For another crazy , but very new glimpse into the mind of your favorite mistro!!!

Fantastic
The start of Another winning series by JL Bourne. Very cool story line. Cant wait until the next one comes out. Artist performances reading were top notch as well.

A terrifying future, an exciting adventure!
If you love zombie stories, if you enjoyed Robopocalypse, you'll love Trilobyte!
Bourne has knocked it out of the park, AGAIN! With his terrifying story of survival against an insidious technological monstrosity.
The voice actors were excellent and added to the excitement and depth of the story!

First Book Listened too by this author... love it!
Had some recommendations to check out this author and finally did with this book. Definitely has you on the edge of your seat eager to find out what happens next.
Scary in a different way. The story paints a reality that is Science fiction but also very believable. Definitely makes you re-evaluate where we are headed with technology.

Wow! Another home run book by J.L. Bourne!!
I listened to this book on a long drive from Tucson AZ to Death Valley last week, it was wonderful! I'm a huge fan of Mr. Bourne's other books but this one was incredible! I love how he keeps the book to a few main characters (and a one eyed bear) and then tells a great story around each. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait until the next one is available!

Well done, Sir.
Creativity has returned. This book was well imagined and written, Its audio version was exceptionally performed. Not since Day by Day have I so eagerly awaited a sequel.

Excellent thrilling work.
Since more or less stumbling randomly into the Day by Day Armageddon series I am a big fan of J. L. Bourne's work. He is really very creative in creating different scenarios of the end of the world as we know it. I loved the zombie approach as well as the economy breakdown in the Max series. Trilobyte is a very thrilling near future sci-fi setting for another end of the world scenario. I binged the audiobook in no time at all and do hope he has ideas for a couple of sequels up his sleeve. Great piece of work!! Really love it and the way it was presented by the best narrators Audible has to offer with Jay Snyder being my absolute favorite.

Hörbuch für Männer
Ich finde JL Bourne ist einer der besten Dystopie Autoren der Moderne.
Pro:
- kein Kitsch eingebaut ( Liebesgeschichten, Familiendrama etc)
- kein übertriebener Patriotismus
- für Militärinteressierte werden viele Begriffe benannt unter denen man sich das ganze Setting viel besser vorstellen kann
- kein Gender-, BLM, Feminismus etc.
