Not for me

I felt like I couldn’t relate to the author. Everything revolves around dating women and talking to women. I didn’t learn anything useful when it came to dealing with social anxiety for myself. Will keep searching.

This book is for men and dating

What disappointed you about The Solution to Social Anxiety: Break Free from the Shyness That Holds You Back?

I was hoping to get ways to change my social anxiety as a female nd all I got was a couple hours of this author putting himself down for not knowing how to hit on women and how her over come that fear.

What was most disappointing about Dr. Aziz Gazipura, PsyD’s story?

Should have given the book a different title.

sounds like a how to date book.

The author seems really focused on the aspect of dating and meeting women than social anxiety in general.

Essential information about social anxiety

This is a very helpful book on combatting social anxiety. It is essential reading (listening) for anyone suffering from this affliction. Dr. Gazipura is an excellent narrator! The central ideas are: Social anxiety comes from an underlying belief that something is wrong with you, the solution to social anxiety is to let go of this belief, the way our inner critic talks to us is much less reasonable than the way we would talk to anyone else, and to gradually expose yourself to doing the things that cause you anxiety and fear while using tools to more positively address your inner critic. The book is really good. I'm very glad I read it, I will be reading it again, and I want to read Dr. Gazipura's other books now. I'm a fan, and I'm very thankful for Dr. Gazipura utilizing his experience and talents to share this helpful information with people suffering from this frustrating, often-misunderstood, life-altering condition.

Aziz has been there & lived it. But, not what I expected.

Aziz is likable to listen to. He does a great job narrating. He covers all the social anxiety situations. He brings you right up to line of action.
Qualify by comments by saying I am 64 yrs. old, but still fighting the big corporation work battle every day. For me, I hoped the book would prepare me with tools to use when you are in those social situations. Then, armed with those tools, I would be more comfortable, even very comfortable in such interactions with people. So, Aziz gets you into meeting someone new or in a group setting, after the first pleasantries, what do you talk about? Apparently, that is in other books. What are the best topics to get conversations going? What do males verses females like to talk about? Different age groups? What able creating Charisma?We know the Dale Carnegie material. Sometimes, I am keeping a minimal conversation going, but I am bored out of my mind. And, I don't want to bore others with interests of mine if it is not their cup of tea. When it's something we share in common, it's easy. So what are tools I can use for everyone?

Informative

Much good information as the author takes you through how social anxiety arises. Later chapters are best for how to learn coping strategies.

Amazing read

As all of Dr Aziz's book this is another that gives me great clarity about social anxiety. He's so great at expressing exactly be how it should be put. I LOVE it

Book will take you as far as you are willing to go

Great narration from Dr. Aziz. Focused more towards men, but applicable to everyone who wants to overcome social anxiety.
