Description
For many, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) has proved to be a tipping point, a treatment through which they are finally able to make significant changes and break free of anxiety and depression.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 7 Weeks is an interactive audio workbook that outlines a simple, practical plan that occurs over the course of seven weeks, and offers real, tangible relief from anxiety and depression. This is a cumulative workbook - the work you do each week builds upon that of the last and, ultimately, creates a lasting CBT tool kit that will prepare you to handle future challenges as they come.
In his private practice, licensed psychologist Dr. Seth Gillihan specializes in the use of cognitive-behavioral treatment for anxiety and depression. He concentrates on the specific needs of each patient by using the evidence-based, solution-focused treatment principles of CBT - the fundamentals of which are at the core of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 7 Weeks. With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 7 Weeks you will become familiar with the basic principles of CBT and understand how it works, define specific goals that you'll work toward over the course of seven weeks, and learn fundamental CBT skills through guided writing exercises that apply to your current, real-life challenges.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 7 Weeks is the most comprehensive yet efficient workbook available for using CBT to address anxiety and depression.

Dont download the audio book
The audiobook's included pdf does not have all of the chapters checklists and workbook prompts. If you're serious about doing this 7-week course you're better off getting the paper book. Otherwise, there are parts of it that are not read.

This is supposed to be an Audio book.
This book places a huge importance on writing down stuff, checking out diagrams and etc. That defies the purpose of an audio book that we usually listen to while working out, or simply doing anything else that restrain us from reading a book, or writing down thoughts for that matter.

Workbooks shouldn't be audiobooks
The content is excellent, but I would strongly urge you to get a print edition. This is, as the title indicates, a workbook, and it is simply not suitable for use in an audiobook format. There are so many references to tables, forms, diagrams, and fill-ins in the supplementary material. Also, the hyperlinks in that material are broken.

List after list after list after list
The author seems knowledgeable and inspired but the format was too cumbersome for me. I realize the subtitle indicates it's a "workbook"; however, I didn't realize that the I'd be spending the bulk of the time writing down lists and strategies. Perhaps that format suits others, and I can respect that, but I could not make it through the audio book.

Good workbook. But PDF missing pages
It’s a good workbook. As promised, no technical jargon to bog you down. Spoke to Audible about the accompanying PDF which has 100ish pages missing throughout. They have escalated the issue. Hope it comes soon because this workbook is about rolling your sleeves up and getting to work.

PDF is missing pages
This audiobook is laid out great but the accompanying PDF is incomplete and missing entire sections! I thought maybe the app had the wrong version so I logged into Audible and the version on it was also incomplete. How frustrating! Doesn’t anyone do a check up for quality anymore?

Mediocre
My limited experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy comes from a semester long undergraduate course.
Despite this, it feels like the author is patronizing us; sophomoric, while somehow pedantic at the same time.
For me, a waste of money and time.
