Great continuation of the Horus Heresy

What did you love best about The Flight of The Eisenstein?

The rich language and detailed descriptions Swallow used in this book impressed me and Keebles performance kept me engaged.

What other book might you compare The Flight of The Eisenstein to and why?

Galaxy in Flames : The Horus Heresy. This book provides a deeper look into plot from other character's perspectives.

What about Jonathan Keeble’s performance did you like?

Overall Voice and characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, but I often found myself listening to 1 more chapter than intended.

Great story. Awful recordi g.

The story and voice acting are great. The recording is really, really awful. They need to use a pop filter or something next time. Ps and Ses are super harsh and make it impossible to listen to. Refunded by the end of the first chapter.

A great book

I thought this book was good, but not as good as the prior three. I feel that the further I get into the series the less the books amaze me, but they are still great. I really have an issue with this audio book though. I think the prior 3 books narrated by Toby Longworth were superior. Jonathan Keeble made everyone sound like Skaven rats making all the characters sound pathetic, even Horus sounded like a skeevy little rat, This is my biggest issue with the audio book.

An excellent adventure in the Horus Heresy

As this book largely parallels the story of Book 3, Galaxy in Flames, it does go over familiar territory. However a new perspective is given and we are treated to a strong narrative. Protagonist Nathaniel Garro is very similar to other Space Marine heroes but he does have his uniqueness. I am a big fan of James Swallow and recommend his books fervently. The narrator is also excellent though he is different from the narrator of the first installments I believe. That did take me a moment to transition to his takes on familiar characters. All in all I rate this installment very highly.

A truly inspiring yet sorrowful epic

I had always been so curious as to the events that shattered the Imperium of Man. I have read the first 4 books of the Horus Heresy thus far and am hungry for more
