I am an English writer living in France, where I have worked as a translator. The theme of translation crops up in my children's book "The Story of an Ordinary Lion". How are we to communicate with the animals and birds that share this planet with us? Two birds lived with me for many years: first a blackbird and then a starling, and we definitely communicated, as I describe in "Ebony and Spica". But is it possible to communicate with the invisible world? I touch on this question in both "A Paris Haunting" and "Candlepower". Anything strange, unexplained and even spooky is fascinating to me. On the right are some videos of me reading aloud extracts from my books. I'm very interested in feedback, so please don't hesitate to write a review, even a short one.
