Johnny Walker was a good bounty hunter in his day. James Brownstone good. But everybody has a line. Johnny found his when his teenage daughter was murdered. Who was the killer? Even Johnny couldn't figure it out. Everybody's favorite dwarf retreated to his cabin in the swamp with his two hound dogs by his side and retired with his guns, his whiskey, and his memories. Except magical monsters weren't done with him...yet.

Johnny Walker is ready to clean up the streets and get back to his quiet front porch in the Everglades. He's that good. But a clue to an old case comes up where he least expects it. The Red Boar's drug ring has spread across the country like a poisonous vine, wrapping around the one place no one dares tread with the bounty hunter. The murder of his daughter. Fools. Johnny Walker has thought about cold hard justice for too many years. Time to bring it home.

Johnny Walker figured out who killed his daughter 15 years ago. The hard part will be bringing the monster to justice. Bounty Hunter style with his hound dogs by his side. But the assignments for the Level 6 bounty hunter keep pulling him away. The Feds want him to help a politician who got caught in the wrong places. A dark magical is using the naughty info against him. It's a sensitive case that will take some finesse. They're asking Johnny anyway. Still, the old cold case draws him in closer. After all, family comes first.

That's Johnny's idea of fun. The only Fed along for the ride is Lisa, and even she's off the books. But this adventure is more like a nightmare. Shifters in the Everglades are going missing. Is it a feud between local packs or something more sinister? Johnny and Lisa are on their first private case. A case that keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Nothing in Albuquerque is as it seems. Johnny Walker can tell from the moment he arrives. Why do you think a Level 6 Bounty Hunter is still alive? The crime syndicate has invaded more minds than anyone thought possible. It should have been impossible. But dead men tell no tales or cast spells, right? Then why does it seem like a dead man is casting the magic involved?
