I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York. The food, champagne, and service were impeccable. The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better. He was suave and intelligent. We talked and laughed, and something clicked. Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night. With no plans, we made our own.
Nicholas Hunt is the man I hate. For good reason. His opinion of me is tainted by prejudice even before my arrival at his grandmother’s estate, and my first impression of him is just as abysmal. His arrogance and icy demeanor make it clear that he’s the type of man who’s best handled at a distance. Fortunately, space shouldn’t be an issue inside this Gilded Age mansion and its lush gardens. If I stick with the servants and he keeps to his sailboat, we should hardly cross paths at all. Unfortunately, at Rosethorn, I find that all roads eventually lead to Nicholas Hunt.
Women know I’m a bad boy. They know that they should keep their distance, but they never do. All they ever get is one night. The dirtiest, hottest night of their lives. Court appointed shrink Dr. Julia Connors shouldn’t have been any different. She shouldn’t have changed me. But she did. She asked me to tell her how I felt. All I wanted to do was lay her down on that couch and make her scream my name. She was the only one I wanted a second night with. She was the only one I couldn’t take it from. And when old rivalries flared, I had to leave to keep her safe…I had to break her heart.
I first met Tristan Miles at a meeting where he was trying to take over my late husband’s company. He was powerful, arrogant, and infuriatingly gorgeous, and I hated him with every cell in my body. In the shock of the century, he called me three days later and asked me on a date. I would rather die than date a man like him — though I do have to admit it was good for the ego. Turning him down was the highlight of my year.
Dr. Easton is part man, part myth. He’s a formidable surgeon. Highly respected in his field. He also happens to be an ex-collegiate quarterback with a classically handsome face. Are you catching on yet? He’s horrible. Beautiful. A walking Ralph Lauren ad. He’s also so off-limits he should come with a warning label: This way lies heartache.
Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother. And that his best friend has a crush on me. And that I just moved in with them. Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?
Through every drop of blood I spilled, I lost a piece of my soul. I've sacrificed seven long years and the woman of my life for the family. With prison behind me, I'm finally taking the reins of my destiny. I won't allow the choices of my past to define my future. But I'm not done fighting - not yet. Eve is still out there. I will stop at nothing to get her back.
Forgetting about Eve was the plan. Finding her at a party on my college campus was the last thing I expected. But letting her go again isn't an option - not this time. Juggling the life I want with the one I was born into may be near impossible, but for her, it's a risk I'm willing to take.
As the bus approaches my stop on the Lower East Side, I raise the hood of my black sweatshirt. Anonymity is key in my neighborhood - particularly as a lone female walking at night. All I want is to leave my crime-ridden shadow of a home in New York City. I've done everything I can to keep my head down and focus on my studies. College is my only goal; love has never been on the map...That is, until my sister brings me to an underground fight, where I meet a gorgeous and mysterious man: Vincent.
He should’ve never left his house. He should’ve stayed at home. He has a legitimate excuse - he’s running a fever and he’s fairly sure he’s developing pneumonia. He should have called in sick...but he doesn’t. He goes to work, because his team is relying on him. Needless to say, when Samuel Adams walks into the pharmacy hours later, he only has one thing on his mind. Ibuprofen. Sadly, he never gets to the Ibuprofen. Mostly because before he gets there, he finds a junkie waving a gun around threatening to kill anybody that moves.
If you had any ties to Marbella, it was impossible for you not to have heard the stories about Prince Elias and his debauchery. Every summer he arrived with his security detail and friends in tow and rented out a row of cottages near the water. Cottages that belonged to my family. Each of those summers, my parents sent me away - summer camp and later, boarding school. Anything to keep me away from the royals and their partying. I hadn’t been home in years, but when I finally come back for the summer, I see that not much has changed.
There’s a reason they call me Wylde, and it’s not just because it’s my last name. I might be one of the newest players on the Arizona Vengeance team, but I’m no stranger to the celebrity that goes along with being a professional hockey player. When a quirky redhead at the local bookstore stops me dead in my tracks, I decide to pop in and turn on the trusty Wylde magic. As smart and strong-willed as she is beautiful, Clarke Webber isn’t swayed by my witty banter or charming good looks. Thankfully, I’m always up for a challenge.
Claire Gracen's life is picture perfect. Her career as a marketing director is on the brink of being legendary, and her marriage to her high school sweetheart has never been stronger. No, wait. It has. It used to be amazing and fulfilling, but one day Claire realizes that she's been living a lie and her best friend and husband have committed the ultimate betrayal. Broken and depressed, Claire is in need of something new - new city, new job, new friends.
It’s been a lot of years and another lifetime since Dax Trevino was a playboy detective for the Franklin Police Department. He’s been through hell and back, and now he just wants to be left alone so he can cuddle his otters. When two of his babies are kidnapped in the middle of the night and Claws and Effect Pet Detectives are called to the rescue, quiet, broody Dax never expects to be tackled and handcuffed by the only woman he ever regretted being a douchebag to all those years ago.
Oliver Major was the only lunk brave enough to tame me. Strict. Rich. Deliciously handsome. The right kind of scary. And the scary kind of right. He was my rugged oasis in high-stakes corporate hell. The day he disappeared without a trace sheared my soul. Years later, I'm on a date with destiny. A risky mission seeking answers to my train wreck of a life. Then a little tip from Heart's Edge blows open the shocking truth. What Galentron Inc. took from me isn't gone.
Holt's as stubborn as a bull. He's also hiding a rough-and-tumble country boy behind that big-city suit. Everything flips upside down the day he says he'll help save my land. Lucky me. I can't let anybody uncover the secret on my property. Not even gorgeous stallions turning "I hate you" into "What are we doing?". The way Holt kisses proves he's no white knight. Do I dare let a dark knight in?
Simon and Caroline have it all. A gorgeous restored Victorian house in Sausalito, flourishing careers, an eternal spark for each other, and a cat with more attitude than is legal in the state of California. So what’s plaguing the couple of the century? They’ve got everything anyone could wish for, except...a family.
It started with a kiss. A single kiss that shook me to my core. A kiss to silence me, and a kiss to numb the pain. I took his hand and in turn, he took me away. I thought when we ran away, we’d never have to look back. I was wrong. I think Sebastian knew, and so did I, that he’d be pulled back into this life one day. There was no way we could have gotten our happily-ever-after. Scars don’t ever fully go away, and this sinful place is etched into our flesh.
Sean is a normal guy. Has a great job as a photographer. Drives a new car, but not overly flashy. Has his small group of friends. Yeah he's just your run of the mill average Joe. Except, is anyone really all that normal? The secrets Sean harbors run deep. Stemmed from agony deep inside and a thirst for vengeance. Melody is perceived as the beautiful spoiled princess that fell for a beautiful, confident stranger many years ago. Two polar opposites. One night that changed everything without either of them knowing it. Can love conquer all? With the help from a mysterious stranger, Adele.
