Set against the backdrop of the post-war booming art market, the failed actress Carmen meets Jean-Patrique (JP), the handsome clairvoyant on the steamer from Barcelona to Mallorca, and a chain of mysterious events draws them together to defraud an American multi-millionairess of her wealth. Carmen underestimates the psychological issues JP has to contend with, yet with the help of JP’s unscrupulous spirit guide, all goes to plan until an unexpected legal hitch from an unwelcome visitor to the island becomes an impediment that needs to be removed.
