Hi, this is Romella, and it’s Monday, the 23rd of June. We're just past the Summer Solstice, and after a bit of a storm, the sunshine has returned, which feels very significant for this week. Last week’s heat here in the UK had an almost building energy to it, but with the events over the weekend – particularly the conflicts and violence in the world – it’s clear how important it is to channel peace, especially for us empaths.

As empaths, we often pick up on energies that are not our own. It’s important to consciously channel peace into our own energy systems. A simple practice of breathing in peace and breathing out calm can have a powerful effect. When we hold that energy, it ripples out, affecting not only us but also those around us, helping to shift their energy too.

Lastly, with the new moon on Wednesday, it’s a great time to declutter your mind, body, and energy systems. Write down what you want to feel and experience. Use the new moon energy to set your intentions for the coming cycle.

Litha, also known as Midsummer or the Summer Solstice, is one of the eight Sabbats in the Wheel of the Year. Celebrated around 21st June in the Northern Hemisphere, it marks the longest day and shortest night—when the sun is at its highest and nature is at full bloom.

This is a time of peak energy, fire, fertility, light, expansion, celebration... and a powerful turning point.

One piece of advice is not to get caught up in the social hustle (eg climbing hills/ mountains at the crack of dawn if this isn't your thing).

e're in for a powerful week this week, especially with the Summer Solstice on Friday!

This week, I’m focusing on the upcoming Summer Solstice on Friday, June 21st. It’s a beautiful, sunny day here in the UK, and I’m feeling the energy building.

I’m using the Seasons of the Witch Litha Edition deck to help me tap into the energy of the season.

The first card I pulled reminds me to lean into the art of receiving. It’s easy to feel like we’re behind mid-year, but the truth is, we’re exactly where we need to be. Being present and grateful for where I am will attract more abundance.

The next card, “Rot and Decay,” is about acknowledging the shadows—those things I haven’t achieved or what’s weighing me down. Once I acknowledge them, I can clear and release them. I can do this through energy editing or simply by writing them down and letting them go. It’s all about doing things differently and moving forward.

Then, I pulled the “Horse” card, which calls me to embrace freedom. It’s about allowing myself to do things differently, whether it’s by decluttering, journaling, or prioritising my own well-being. What freedom looks like for me is up to me, and I’m being asked to step into that.

Finally, the “Peonies” card is all about reaping rewards and allowing myself to experience joy. Just like the peony flower that opens up, I’m being reminded to let myself expand and receive the good that’s already on its way.
