Welcome to the musings of one who has come close to losing his life several times, suffered enough to be wise, and childlike enough to still be excited by a sunset, or the way a crane flaps its wings inches above the water.


I am a mystic, an ELCA Lutheran, a progressive Christian, and seminary graduate. Which means I am always looking for other’s experiences, views, beliefs, religion, lifestyles, faiths; the way that what they call God intersects their lives and the ways in which love shows up.


I am also a writer and a storyteller; loving to share the stories and the people who have made my life rich.


”This is Life and the Living of It” is a collection of observations, personal narratives, encounters, musings, poetry, brief expositions on current topics, a few deep dives into faith, relationships, suffering, grief and loss, trauma, healing, and the occasional ”The Church Today” opinion pieces. Expect a smorgasbord not limited to any one topic, view, position or perception.
