About Tom Cronin:

Tom Cronin is a Brazilian jiujitsu black belt under Master Carlson Gracie Jr. Tom began training in December 2007 when he was looking for a place to learn the gentle art with his daughter. After meeting master Carlson, Tom immediately took a liking to his new teacher & appreciated the amazing level of detailed instruction, along with the moral character that Master Gracie conducted himself with. “ A lot of high-ranking people in martial arts like to strut, but Carlson Jr. is always smiling and positive, he’s making people laugh and makes it a point to try and make everyone’s day a little better” Tom dedicated himself to training and began competing right away, amassing titles in his divisions at every belt level in both gi and nogi competition. He is a black belt master’s world champion & nogi world champion. Tom feels that while competition is a great tool in helping students progress, there’s so much more to Jiu-jitsu. Several key aspects shouldn’t be neglected in becoming a well rounded martial artist. Self defense, grappling with strikes, situational awareness etc. Tom comes from a military family and is passionate about teaching Law Enforcement & military personnel. He has coached in the UFC, regularly gives free clinics to women, police and military and has taught special needs groups. Tom’s goals are to continue helping his students exceed his personal accomplishments while growing the Carlson Gracie Team. “I will always be a student, & I will always keep treating people the way I would like to be treated.” Tom has coached many students from White to Black belt that became champions and some who have even opened their own academies. He is also a expert in restoring car. Returning a classic or damaged vehicle to its original or improved condition through a multi-step process that includes planning, assessment, disassembly, bodywork, mechanical repair, electrical work, and interior refurbishment.

Dr Shawn Tierney Bio

Dr Shawn P. Tierney DC, RMSK, is a musculoskeletal sonologist and leader in the regenerative medicine field. He has a pioneer certificate from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine for the initial RMSK certification. He is an internationally recognized teacher of musculoskeletal ultrasound and human sono-anatomy. He has taught over 70 ultrasound cadaver courses and 30 diagnostic hands-on courses with MSKUS. He has taught as a recognized expert in Taiwan, Australia, Tasmania, Hong Kong, Mexico, Canada and in the United States. He is honored to have taught at Naval and Marine Bases as well as having taught VA physicians to perform stellate ganglion blocks. He has taught at the American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine and the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Tierney has done extensive work in sports medicine rehabilitation and nutrition during his entire career. Dr. Tierney received his degree from The Los Angeles College of Chiropractic where he was student body president. Prior to studying Chiropractic, Dr. Tierney was an environmental organic chemist at APPL Labs in California. Dr. Tierney was a personal trainer in 1988 and was ranked 3rd nationally as a natural body builder, having competed in 19 different bodybuilding competitions. Dr. Tierney also won his age group in the top International Stand-Up Paddle Competition (The Pacific Paddle Games) twice. Dr. Tierney has treated members of the US Water Polo Team, the US Swim Team, the NBA, the NFL, the NHL, Professional Surfing, Professional Boxing, Professional UFC, Martial Arts, Professional Skateboarding, Professional Golfing, Olympic Volleyball, Professional Bodybuilding, Professional Dancers, Movie Stars, Professional Musicians, and most significantly Professional Stand-Up Paddle Board Athletes.
