"Mantra is nada, a very special sound. It’s not a sound, actually. It cannot be translated. A mantra cannot be translated. It is language working or sound waves working at the highest efficacious level. It is nuclear power. During the Mahabharata, the Epic of India, they used nuclear power, just through the use of a mantra.

Sri Vidya means, Sri Vidya is the Goddess’s knowledge or wisdom, Vidya, is the secret mantras are called the Sri Vidya. They are secret and they are also open. I’m going to teach you something, give you one syllable, first part of Sri Vidya, which you already know. So what is the big deal? The big deal is receiving the mantra with the blessings of the teacher or the guru... So I told the story to illustrate the fact that how precious is the teaching of Sri Vidya. So I never thought that I would ever teach it, but now it is the time, the world is ready."
