Come with me on a little journey as I recount a medicinal mushroom journey that was meant to be a recreational chill dose but surprised me by completely pulling me apart at the atomic level!

Lets talk about fear and compassion, the dissolution of ethical/moral dualism, monkey minds & ai, a god that encompasses good AND evil

This journey led me to the foot of all the fear, hate, pain, and grief I had felt in this life

and to a powerful sense of gratitude

in the knowing that in the same way that the dark velvet night

shows us the beauty and light of the stars

it was the hate

that showed me love

the loneliness that showed me gratitude for togetherness

and on and on

that if you try to take the dark out of the beauty and brilliance of the starry night sky

the whole thing collapses

so it is true for us

trying to take the pain out of life is like trying to take the spine out of the human

remove it

and the whole thing collapses

If you put your heart and your energy into baking a pie for your neighbor every day, and every day your neighbor took it, ate it, or tossed it to the side and never said “thank you!” or “I love it!” or “wow what an amazing pie!” would you keep baking your neighbor pies?

I don’t know about you but for me, the answer is NO.

WHAT IF your resentment was always trying to tell you something? That you’ve been giving too much or in the wrong places? What if it is a powerful signal working to help you to create a happier more aligned life if you’d only heed the signal?

This episode is me unraveling the shame and guilt I have been feeling around wanting to feel reciprocity and gratitude for the ways I show up for my husband and my family. I share my journey from woman scorned and temper tantrum extraordinaire to new understanding and acceptance of my feelings as useful tools pointing me in the direction of (or away from) what is for me, and what is not.
