À propos de cette écoute
Welcome to The Apple and the Tree with host, Richard Coles. In Episode Two of this new series, we're in Liverpool to meet Rebekah and her mum, Pamela.
As an ex-Subpostmistress, Pamela faced an armed robbery while pregnant - later bankruptcy loomed due to shortfalls occurring in her Post Office due to a faulty accounting system. Meeting in Rebekah’s Liverpool home, the pair discuss Pamela's unexpected pregnancy, that traumatic armed raid and the huge challenges she faced working for the Post Office.
Rebekah reflects on her mum's resilience, her own life decisions and the close relationship they share despite past hardships. The duo also touch on the importance of open communication and how past adversities have shaped their present bond. As ever with The Apple and the Tree, there is nothing off limits.
