Welcome to Raw and Revitalized, the podcast that strips away the filters of the modern wellness industry to uncover what it actually means to be a person.

We’re over the "toxic positivity" and the idea that everything has to be perfect, all the time. Real life is gritty, evolving, and—at times—completely unpolished. This is a space for the human experience in its truest form: the growing pains, the shifts in perspective, and the honest joy of the "roll of the growth."

Each episode offers practical tips and tricks to help you feel revitalized, but we leave the ego at the door. No gurus, no "good vibes only" fluff—just raw conversations about evolving, staying grounded, and remembering that through it all, we are still human.

What happens when you finally come home to yourself?

This episode landed at exactly the moment I needed it.

I sat down to record feeling activated, uncomfortable and very aware that life had just handed me an opportunity to practise the exact lesson I was about to talk about.

Coming home to yourself isn’t about becoming so healed that nothing triggers you. It isn’t about never feeling scared, angry, hopeful or overwhelmed again.

It’s about learning how to feel all of it without abandoning yourself in the process.

In the final episode of this seven-lesson series, I talk about safety within yourself, vulnerability, trusting your own voice, and what happens when you stop looking outside yourself for the thing you’ve been trying to build within.

I’m still learning it. Today, apparently, I got the practical exam.

EPISODE 6 — I Am Not Responsible for Controlling What You Think About Me

This might be one of the hardest lessons I've had to actually live.

Because saying “I don't care what people think about me” is easy.

    Until you're misunderstood.

    Until you've fucked up.

Until someone you love holds a version of you that you desperately

    want to correct.

    Then comes the explaining.

    The overthinking.

    The extra message.

    The apology.

    The context.

The desperate attempt to correct their fucking PowerPoint presentation

    about you.

    But here's what I'm learning:

Accountability isn't taking all the blame.

It's taking what's yours — and leaving the rest where it belongs.

I am responsible for my behaviour.

    My communication.

    My apologies.

    My growth.

But I am not responsible for controlling what you think about me.

This episode is about accountability without self-punishment, the

difference between reflection and rumination, learning to tolerate

being misunderstood, and recognising that sometimes there simply isn't

another sentence you need to say.

Maybe freedom isn't learning not to care.

Maybe it's learning how to care without abandoning yourself.

    Boundaries aren’t walls.

That sounds simple… but lately I’ve realised I haven’t always known the difference.

In Lesson Five of Seven Lessons Life Has Taught Me Lately, I’m unpacking what a boundary actually is — and what happens when fear, uncertainty and self-protection quietly turn those boundaries into walls.

We’re talking people-pleasing, saying no, protecting your peace, knowing when walking away really is the boundary, and recognising when you might actually be reacting to what you’re afraid could happen rather than what’s happening right now.

Because boundaries aren’t about controlling other people.

They’re about knowing yourself well enough to say:

    This is what I need.

    This is what I value.

This is what I will and won’t accept.

And I am responsible for deciding what I do when those lines are crossed.

As always — still learning, still fucking it up occasionally, still human.
