I want to preface this entry with the fact that I’m on board with any diet/nutritional program that makes people pay better attention to what and how much they eat. Doing the Whole 30? Great! Trying out Keto? Awesome! Want to give eating Paleo a shot? Perfect! Any type of habit-forming routine that’s going to make you get on a track to a healthier lifestyle, I’m all for it! That said, most fad diets don’t turn into lifestyles. Many of you reading this are probably thinking to a time, or a few times, where you picked up a new diet, had some success, lost a good amount of weight, but a few months later, you found that you were back where you started. Why? Because sustaining a fad diet is hard! It’s not easy to never allow yourself to enjoy life, BBQs, birthday parties, celebrations, Friday morning donuts at the office, etc. This is where the lifestyle piece comes in.
