    • Food Waste - What Can We Do About It?
      Apr 4 2023

According to the World Food Programme, a third of all food produced globally is wasted, which is estimated to be between 95 to 115kg of food waste per person annually. So, why do we waste so much food and how can we reduce the amount we waste? Does consumer behaviour need to change or does responsibility rest with food producers and supermarkets?

Carol Walker speaks to Stephane Leroux from the International Food Waste Coalition and Alexandros Theodoridis co-founder of Boroume, a non-for-profit organisation whose mission is to reduce food waste and to fight malnutrition in Greece.
