    We do have the power to choose our thoughts. That awareness was not always there for me but once I learned that I have a choice in what thoughts I engage in or what thoughts I want to predominately have occur in the first place in my head was a game changer. Thoughts drive our emotions/feelings which in turn drive our behaviours. By having full control of our thought pattern, we can have control over what emotions and or feelings we feel and therefore have control over the behaviours that we engage in.   • Stop Putting Others On a Pedestal ❤️

    I had spent my entire life putting others on a pedestal and seeking their approval and trying very hard to be accepted and validated and understood. I learned through going to school to become a clinical counsellor that I had an anxious attachment style (take the quiz here to find out yours: https://www.attachmentproject.com/attachment-style-quiz/) that is the only of the attachment styles that leads to a negative self view and a positive self view of others, therefore the concept of why we are needing that validation. Essentially we are reverting back to our inner child recreating and hoping for that parental experience that will allow for a positive self view through our adults relationships. Good news!     Other people are very often a mirror to what is alive inside of our own nervous system and subconscious mind that we cannot see unless it is highlighted by others actions and or words. So essentially any uncomfortable and hurtful experiences we have with others, has the tendency to hold a key in unlocking internal freedom of negative core beliefs about our selves that are holding us back and essentially keeping us stuck in these cycles and recycling these feelings and patterns that we are used to and have been part of our blueprint since childhood.
