  • Nick Loera | Game Plan | Ep. 009
    Dec 12 2025

Nick Loera is a videographer, motion graphics artist, financial coach and podcaster.

Nick started his businesses in the California Bay Area as a videographer, marketer and motion graphics artist. He recently moved to Austin, Texas and has since shifted his focus to financial coaching, content creation and podcasting.

"Region Beta" refers to the Region-Beta Paradox, a psychological phenomenon that is frequently discussed by podcaster Chris Williamson on his show, Modern Wisdom.

The core idea is that people often remain stuck in a state of comfortable complacency because a situation is "not bad enough" to force them to change, but also not good enough for them to truly flourish.

Nick argues that many people with financial struggles are stuck in the region beta paradox and that they would actually benefit if their situation was worse, forcing them to make changes.

We also talk about fitness, CrossFit and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
