À propos de cette écoute
In this conversation, Ciela and Francesca explore the themes of change, creativity, and the body as a teacher. Francesca shares her journey through dance, her experiences with Gyrotonics and craniosacral therapy, and the importance of heart and authenticity in both art and healing. Ciela and Fran discuss the role of objectivity in the creative process and how personal and collective changes shape our experiences.
Francesca Romo was born in London and knew she wanted to dance early in life. After graduating from the Royal Ballet School and London Contemporary Dance School, she danced for The Richard Alston Dance Company from 2003-2006. While on tour, she fell in love with the U.S., and moved to New York to dance with the Sean Curran Dance company from 2006-2007 She then went on to Co-found the Gallim Dance Company in 2007 where she was Associate Director until 2014. She has toured and created work with Andrea Miller, having been involved with dance commissions including English National Ballet, Bern Ballet, Noord Nederland Dans, Nederlands Dans Theatre 2, and the Juilliard School. Gallim works have been presented by leading institutions and festivals around the world, including City Center, The Joyce, Jacob’s Pillow, BAM, Théâtre National de Chaillot, Teatre Grec of Barcelona, Teatro Nacional de Panamá, DanceHouse Vancouver, Spoleto Festival, and others. Francesca has had the fortune of touring and working both internationally and nationally, and now resides at Dancers’ Workshop in Jackson Hole where she dances, teaches, and mentors. Fran is an integral part of wellness programming, teaching Gyrotonic and Craniosacral work with both adults and infants. She is a recipient of the Wyoming Arts Council Performing Arts Fellowship Grant for 2022.
Ciela Wynter is an astrologer, inner work guide, artist, author, musician, and sound facilitator, enamored by the process of deep diving into the unknown oceans of vast uncharted waters within the psyche. Ciela researches the inner stars, planets, and galaxies for the clues to the profound mysteries and eternal “case studies” that call her attention. Ciela has always been a seeker and her journey has taken her around the world from skyscrapers to jungle floors to temples to danger zones. She loves the chapters of life and how we actually can make progress through knowing ourselves. Ciela has been in deep study of astrology for over 20 years. It has been a lifeline for mapping out her psyche and an invitation to explore it with fervor. She is self-taught, a student of the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London, and an avid reader and psychonaut of the transpersonal realms. Astrology is a language that helps Ciela to understand why she does the things she does and how to change herself from the inside out. Ciela is both in awe and in love with the utter mystery that is revealed in the language of the stars.
