    In this episode I sat down with my Mother-in-law, Alayna, to hear about her life changing diagnosis and miraculous journey to living for 2 and a half decades with leukemia at bay thanks to a trial medicine. She received 6 months to live with three young children and thanks to recommendations found her way to MD Anderson in Houston at just the right time to get on a trial med that kept her leukemia at bay and allowed her to live a normal life. We sat down while in Houston 24 years later as she is getting on another trial med since her old one is no longer working.
