We assume that we simply need to do better for our kids.
To give THEM the life we want for them,
and we leave ourselves on the back burner.
We SACRIFICE for them,
and model them a life of workaholism,
grinding it out, and burning ourselves out. And that’s the operating system we program into them.
The truth is:
to really do better for our kids
to really SERVE our kids,
we have to do better for ourselves first.
Dads are required to live
a life of vitality, of energy, of passion.
And from that place of health,
vitality, fullness, we can be the cup
that overflows THEIR little cups,
and gives them an operating system we’re proud to hand down.
