    Reach enlightenment, and you'll stop overeating.

    The info is not bad but A. it was really boring for me, and B. You basically need to practice tons of mindfulness to follow through on this book. People who overeat or binge, oftentimes are well aware of their emotions, sensations and the mistake their about to make, yet make it anyway. About "self nurturing" - It's so much work that it's also self-torturing. I guess for some it can be a good path.

    Literally changed my life - highly reccomend!

    Read this after another night of emotional eating and was immediately captivated by how informative and spot on it was. I wish I would have read this 20 years ago.

    Not Helpful

    This book is essentially an observer’s recounting of the case studies of other people’s emotional issues. It doesn’t really offer the reader any practical solutions or methodology.
    It would be like buying a book on car repair that only contained long generalized descriptions of what caused other people’s car problems.

    A must read/listen

    I have read a lot of books on the subject of overeating/ eating disorders. This one is different and very impactful. Other methods have not helped me, but this one (while it’s still early) has shifted something in me. I got the audio and now will reread in book format, because there’s so much to take in here. Highly recommended for anyone who struggles with eating and has plenty of other issues to top it off.

    Exactly what I needed to hear!

    I finally understand why I have struggled with food for over 50 years! I am already feeling stronger in my resolve.
