Dawyn Darklance, former Shadow Watch Guard commander and time bender, having recently returned from a journey to save the kingdom of Tar Ebon, sets out in accordance with an ancient prophecy, for the portents of doom foretold by the Founders have come about.
Now, as three young college students mysteriously transported from Earth will soon discover, Tar Ebon is an enchanting yet dangerous world, filled with slavers, magic, and creatures beyond their imagination. Meanwhile, across the ocean, Boris, ex-assassin and skilled fighter, returns home, only to be haunted by shadows of his past. His journey to save the woman he once loved will change his life forever.
Everyone has an agenda in this new world; some to extract justice, others to find their way home. But as the shadow of evil descends upon the world, bringing with it the time of shadows, everyone will have to keep their instincts sharp and their wits about them. The strength of every hero will be tested as they fight to save the world.
