In the late 1890s, Theodore Stubb's Manor House is located in the quirky village of Muchmarsh. A keen entomologist, Theodore often spent time in his attic, adding exotic specimens to his extensive collection of insects. But he is also a master hypnotist, assisted by a remarkable pocket watch.
His daughter-in-law, Eleanor Stubb, released from a sanatorium two months before to live in the Manor House with her husband, William, is a haunted figure.
