    loved his approach!

    I'm a CBT-based sleep coach and I read pretty much any sleep books that comes my way, and this is my new favorite!! Dr. Winter in funny and engaging, and a great narrator. Additionally, I really appreciated his approach, which emphasizes a take-the-pressure-off style, and even offers some ideas I hadn't heard before. I think this book offers advice and options that can help even the most well-read poor sleepers out there.

    Informative and funny! A must read even if you don’t have a sleep problem!

    This book is informative, helpful and most of all funny. It’s about time someone wrote a book about sleep that doesn’t put you to sleep. This book goes into detail of the different sleep issues and ways to treat them in a way that anyone can understand. Great job!

    BEST EFFECTIVE ENGAGING SLEEP BOOK EVER

    Over the past 15 months I have struggled with insomnia. My doctor prescribed Ambien. I didn’t want to get hook on it so I turned for a Natural sleep aids. I’ve tried every sleep aid and remedy you can think of. I went to therapy, sleep doctor and talk to a different internal medicine Doctor that wanted to put me on medication. None of these approaches worked for me so I continued to struggle with insomnia, until now!!!!

    I’ve purchased dozens of books about sleep and sleep meditation. None of them helped me to fall a sleep and stay sleep. The Sleep Solution Book has just the right amount of humor, exercises, and it’s packed with tons of helpful content about sleep.

    Most important, it works!!!!! I started listening to the audiobook and couldn’t stop, I’m glad I didn’t!!!!
    Last night was the first night in 15 months that I slept over 8 hrs without using a sleep aid. Even when I use a sleep aid I sleep 5 - 6 hours. Last night, after finishing the The Sleep Solution Book I got immediate results, organic sleep!!!! Unfreaking believable!!!

    I am now doing the 30 Day challenge!! I love to sleep and I am excited about sleeping again.

    Cured!

    After reading a few months ago, I was back to normal within days. I have occasional lack of sleep now, but I just don’t sweat it. I attribute my better sleep to Dr. Winter’s suggestions.

    Fantastic!

    Made me rethink all I know about my insomnia for the better. I'm already sleeping better and without chemicals.

    Frustrated but Hopeful

    Informative, Concise, Clear and entertaining with great information. A must read/listen!!!
    Thank you Dr. Winter - you’ve given me hope and I have had several sleep studies but my journey to better sleep continues.

    Saved My Sleep, Thank You!

    This book changed my life. I was struggling to fall asleep every single night and it was making me miserable and endangering my Air Force career. Then, I read about Dr. Winter and his research on paradoxical insomnia on a Science Friday web page and it got me intrigued… within a day or two of reading the book, my ‘insomnia’ faded away and here I am a couple weeks later with no issues at all. I am forever grateful to Dr. Winter for taking the time to write this book and communicate his ideas, it has had more of a positive impact on my life than probably any other book. Side note, I only read the first half of the book because the beginning section on paradoxical insomnia reduced my anxiety and let me feel normal again almost immediately. Please read this book if you are struggling.

    Book needed more science and less opinion

    Audible narration was done by someone with a very annoying southern accent.
    I wanted more science and statistics and cultural references like the book “Why we sleep” and less lecturing and opinion. But the content was fine. It sounds like it came from a physician.

    Very helpful

    While I can’t use everything from this book, I can use a good portion of it. For that reason, I think it’s a great tool if one is having trouble sleeping. I’ve been working on my sleep for a couple of years now, and this put the nail in my coffin so to speak. I sleep a lot better having read this book.

    a great book for people with insnia

    I've had insomnia for years now, and struggled with doctors not helping me time and time again. this book gave me very useful tips and information that I had never heard before and that has actually helped me with my sleep. I definitely recommend for anyone suffering with insomnia to read.
