    I've found this audiobook very helpful in my efforts to get "jump started" at loosing weight. The hypnotic sessions have helped me tremendously. I am trying to listen to different trance sessions at least twice a day. My motivation is up in just a week, and I am making progress.

    Dr. Gurgevich is an exceptionally talented hypnotist and psychologist. He speaks in a sensitive, soothing voice that is in itself theraputic.

    I highly recommend this audiobook!

    Highly recommended. With consistency and repetitive usage, this will help you reach your weight goals. There are quite a few hypnosis sessions to choose from. There's also one that you can listen to as you fall asleep.

    Finally something that works

    I have literally tried everything to control my appetite. I had read about this book in a magazine and while unsure how it would work for me I decided to give it a try. I listened to it everynight while I slept and the results have been amazing. I have lost 15 pounds in th past month and my appetite is under control. I would highly recommend it to others, but would caution that you need to listen to it consistently in order to get the results.

    Surprisongly effective

    As a skeptic who had never tried self-hypnosis, I bought this audiobook to help me make some major changes in my life. My first listen was superficial and I was tempted to dismiss the suggestions as sounding 'cheesy.' But as a seeker of personal growth, I finally gave the program the attention and focus it deserves. After several weeks, I finally realized that my cravings had been lifted and belief that I could succeed moved into my life and the choices I make.

    A Lighter Side

    I really love the positive reinforcements. Instead of being told how to diet, believe me I'm a veteran, I am given suggestions on how to think and appreciate the vital body I do have. I like the gentleness. I am truly thankful. Oh yes, down 7 pounds in a week is a bonus.

    slight disappointment

    The author has a pleasant demeanor and voice, but he talks too much on this audiobook--both before, during and after the "trance" sessions. It's hard to believe anyone could actually slip into a trance with his incessant, unfocused chatter. More and better music would improve this audiobook, as would more goal-oriented exercises. The exercises he provides are a bit of a hodge-podge....

    If you've struggled - try this!

    I have struggled with weight loss motivation for 25 years. This audiobook has made it effortless for me. I have lost 16lb in 5 weeks and most important, it has changed my whole attitude towards food and myself - I feel so positive all the time. I only wish I had tried it years sooner!
    A hint - choose one color forever, not a different one each day.

    Separate tracks/bookmarks would be helpful

    Listening to this on my iPhone using the Audible app, and it's divided into 3 "chapters," one for each disc.
    Chapter (disc) 1 is about WHY and HOW hypnotism works. It's great for a listen to once, but then you don't really need it.

    Chapter (disc) 2 has 4 trance sessions you're supposed to be moderately aware for. Here's a helpful breakdown of the approximate times each new session starts - I recommend you create a bookmark for each one, so you can skip straight to the session you want.

    0:6:00 Changing taste for foods, putting a positive spin on weight loss efforts

    0:29:15 Self exploration, why did I gain weight?

    0:49:50 Loving yourself

    1:06:00 Emergency session - Craving Control

    Chapter (disc) 3 has 3 sessions that you can sort of listen to while you do something else, to listen to during particular times of the day. The section titles should be self-explanatory.

    4:25 Morning Motivation

    25:00 Before Dinner

    41:00 Bedtime Hypnosis

    Hope this helps you utilize this program a little better! :) Other than the issue with all the sessions being smooshes into one big chapter, I like this audiobook. Dr. Gurgevich has a very soothing voice, and is helpful about carefully framing the suggestions so your subconscious will accept them and do what you actually want them to do. I've only been using this a few days so I can't really speak as to if it "works," but I do feel more optimistic about my weight loss journey after listening to this tape.

    Pleasantly Suprised

    I've never used Hypnosis and didn't know what to expect. The very first night I listened as was going to sleep and it was clear to me that it put me into "trance" and pulled me out when the first session was over. I at the same time have put myself on a low calorie diet and eating only the healthiest of foods and have not cheated once, completely out of charachter for me, I am very much impressed by this will power that I seem to have now. Another benefit is I usually take 30-45 mins. to fall asleep each night, with this I am falling asleep quickly and easily, only came out of the trance state the first night, now I just sleep through the sessions. I'm impressed, very much so, it appears to be helping. I only wish chapter 3 seperated the out the sessions so you could choose what to listen to & when. Not so user friendly on my iphone when the AM session, Craving sessions, and Dinner sessions are all melting together. I've already told several people how helpful this has been when they ask about my weight loss.
