In appearance Hercule Poirot hardly resembled an ancient Greek hero. Yet, reasoned the detective, like Hercules, he had been responsible for ridding society of some of its most unpleasant monsters. So, in the period leading up to his retirement, Poirot makes up his mind to accept just 12 more cases: his self-imposed "Labors". Each would go down in the annals of crime as a heroic feat of deduction.

Description
Two best-selling Agatha Christie novels in one great audiobook
The Mysterious Affair at Styles - Hercule Poirot solves his first case in the Agatha Christie novel that started it all.
Who poisoned the wealthy Emily Inglethorp and how did the murderer penetrate and escape from her locked bedroom? Suspects abound in the quaint village of Styles St. Mary - from the heiress' fawning new husband to her two stepsons, her volatile housekeeper, and a pretty nurse who works in a hospital dispensary. With impeccable timing, and making his unforgettable debut, the brilliant Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is on the case.
The ABC Murders - Agatha Christie's beloved classic The ABC Murders sets Hercule Poirot on the trail of a serial killer.
There’s a serial killer on the loose, working his way through the alphabet and the whole country is in a state of panic. A is for Mrs. Ascher in Andover, B is for Betty Barnard in Bexhill, C is for Sir Carmichael Clarke in Churston. With each murder, the killer is getting more confident - but leaving a trail of deliberate clues to taunt the proud Hercule Poirot might just prove to be the first, and fatal, mistake.

Delightful storytelling at its best
Surprises at every turn as is typical of Christie. Hugh Fraser does an excellent job of reading and making each character come alive, especially our favorite hero.

Accented perfection
Agatha Christie’s books are undeniably well written, so the potential weak link is the narration. But, Hugh Fraser’s Hercule Poirot is sublime. Also, I was right there with Hastings, and could feel his exasperation with his odd, annoying, but brilliant friend as they worked through two mysteries. Even with the twists and turns, this was easy listening. Comfort food for the ears!

Fantastic to listen to Hastings
I loved listening to Hugh Frasier. At first all I could hear was him (which wasn't all bad), as I love the Poitot TV series, but soon I was lost in the story. Excellent narrator.

Captivating
Really good performance by the reader. I think he did a great job. The stories overall are also good no complaints but some of the other mysteries are better. I wouldn’t start with these two together but go with one that are more famous.

Two Christie classics in one
These two books are some of my favorite Poirot novels. I'd encountered The ABC Murders first, and it was fascinating to follow all the twists and turns of the story down to the end. And Hugh Fraser, once again, delivers a fine performance with both books.

Double dose of Hugh Fraser!
I was not familiar with either of these works, and found them thoroughly captivating.
