Description

Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.

Felicity's life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl's high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend's best friend. Girl leaves them both behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend's funeral. Now she's back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She's got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for 16 years.

Silas doesn't need much. He's got a great horse, close friends and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He's not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she's returned to Prescott, he's got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he'll get the girl he should have had all along.

Such a fantastic series

I am so in love with this community and I wish I could move in. I’ve been looking forward to Felicity and Silas. Felicity is the mean girl that skipped town leaving destruction in her wake. And Silas in the quiet man that never has let anyone know his feelings for this mean girl that he got to know before she left.

The mean girl returns and Silas is given a second chance. Of course there is a ton of drama and the secondary characters are building tons of drama so that there can be book after book in this series and I will read every single one.

Full of love and heart and HEAT. This series is meant for all.

Ava Erickson kills it. She has made for the perfect choice to continue throughout this series. It makes no difference that she switches from character to character. She is brilliant and totally pulls it off. I wish they had done that with the male character and kept Joe Arden throughout but it’s ok. The male narration is actually very small. Ava does a good 85%. And Jeffrey was good too.

The Lucky Heart Stars

This was a hard book for me to finish, I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and was so looking forward to this book.

Felicity was an ok character for me, what hung me up was the “woe is me” about Wes. And I get it she was felt guilt but it was bordering on obsessive if I am being honest.

Buttttt there was light about 4 hours in when she stopped going on about it. Thank you!
It wasn’t even like it was drama it was just that she would push Silas away and blame herself, over and over and over again to the point I had to put this audio down and then come back to it almost 3 weeks later.

I am glad I picked it back up because then it starts to really come together with the connection between Silas and Felicity and I like how she stands up to his father. I do wish Silas has said something a lot sooner to his father. Because a lot of that could have been prevented and not really having Felicity’s back especially after the “ride” when Silas was sick…

The caring part of both these characters prevailed and I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of this audio and I can’t wait to listen to more books in this series.

I am not a fan of Jeffrey Kafer, his voice is ok but he sounds so announcer-ish, I just couldn’t get into his parts. Thank gosh for Ava Erickson she saves the day. I loved her parts so much I would have even enjoyed her man voice for Silas.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Felicity and Silas

Heartwarming second chance romance with mild suspense. Cowboy and city girl, dual POV. Good narration.

Shes back!

Going into this book I was not a fan of Felicity due to previous books. I will admit she was hard to connect with. I loved how she seen herself and all her flaws and knew she needed to work through them. The back story between Felicity, Silas, and Wes was messy and had so many layers. I love how Silas was sweet but an alpha at the same time. I thought that Devney did a great job of building the couple to one that the readers could like. I love seeing the previous couples and their interactions. I overall enjoyed this book, good job Devney!

Guilt Can Tear You Apart or Mend A Heart!

I LOVED this book!! I was not a fan of Felicity in the beginning or when she was introduced in the series but this book made me do a 180 about her. I have loved Silas all along and his heart was just so big and then some of his fears were just heartfelt. Guilt is a fickle thing and everyone deals with it differently. I loved the set-up for the next book and I can't wait to read it!

This specific video review will be included in the November 2018 wrap-up.

Fantastic

Another fantastic book by Devney Perry! I’m absolutely loving this town and the people in it. I don’t want it to ever end! Silas was what dreams are made of and Felicity ended up warming my heart as well. I love that we still see glimpses of the couples in the previous books!

Very enjoyable

I'm not really sure what to say about this book. The Lucky Heart follows Silas and Felicity(Jess's sister and ex of Wes). Silas and Felicity have a complicated past and feel guilty about being together. So when they do finally decide to have a relationship they both still have doubts. Wes still gets in the middle of their relationship and not everyone is happy the two are together. Felicity is also not really all that nice of a person and hurt a lot of people in town that she needs to makes amends for because we find out she was not a nice person at all and still really isn't, but covers it up better. She also gets annoyed that people keep throwing her wrongdoings in her face and wonders when she can stop telling people sorry. So needless to say I didn't like Felicity all that much. I at first really liked the thought of Silas being with Felicity, but I got over it rather quickly.

Thanks to the amazing narration of one of my favorites Ava Erikson on a three hour drive from Vegas to California I ended up enjoying listening to this book even though I didn't like the story too much. I do appreciate the narration of Jeffrey Kafer doing the parts for Silas's pov, even though something about his narration irks me for some reason. I always have to slow down the narration when he's speaking like he's talking too fast for me and I never understand what the character is saying.

The Lucky Heart is very easy to listen to and not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but damn these books still annoy the hell out of me. I'm still trying to hold out hope that I will find a Devney Perry book that I will enjoy. I really hate that I don't like this series all that much. But I'm all for listening to this series in audio for a much better reading experience.

Enjoyed the storyline, the characters, and the narration. A classy romance. I’ve already started listening to the next in the series!
