Author narrated offering a winner!
OK, so the title of this review says a lot. Generally, authors should not performers ( and, perhaps, vice versa ! ). This is most definitely not the case here. A fantastic performance by IG Hulme ( who clearly has career potential ahead of him as a performer if he so chooses ). That said, what about the content? Creative, sometimes violent, very "out of the norm" and most definitely cross-genre. Horror? Tick? Supernatural? Tick. Scifi? TIck? Where do I stop? This is a sprawling, sometimes too much so, book which could likely benefit from some sharp editing and focussing. That all said, this is an amazing book ( esp for fans of the 3 genres I noted ) and I highly recommend it.

Simply put, I love it
Whether it’s in the form of a podcast or an audiobook I love The Heavenfield by I G Hulme. I first heard this on iTunes Podcast oh so long ago. I downloaded it, fell in love with the story and never stopped listening to it. It’s one of my favorites so much so that I every so often I look it up on Audible and tonight, to my delight here it was. And imagine my surprise when I saw there’s a another book, a prelude to the entire ordeal. But since this is my introduction to the Heavenfield universe this is where I shall begin again. Listening to and reliving the journey. Oh and the narration is sublime, just another reason to listen to Hulme again and again.
