Und in einer stürmischen Nacht - die tote Schwester liegt aufgebahrt im Keller - erzählt der Gast dem Hausherrn eine unheimliche Gute-Nacht-Geschichte.

    This gothic novel is extremely bizzare. The story doesn't seem to be very important here. What really matters is the deep prefreudian symbolism and the depths of the subconscious. Definitely worse it if you want to perfect your literary education and culture because it's impossible to imagine the modern novel without considering Poe's oper.
