Description
Finally, there is a cure for alcoholism. This is the first step.
Featuring new and updated information and studies, including an introduction by actress Claudia Christian, the second edition of The Cure for Alcoholism delivers exactly what millions of alcoholics and families of alcoholics have been hoping for: a painless, dignified, and medically proven cure for their addiction. Backed by 82 clinical trials and research that extends back to 1964, The Sinclair Method deploys an opiate-blocking medication in a very specific way in combination with ongoing drinking to extinguish the addictive software in the brain. The de-addiction process rolls back the addictive mechanism in the brain to its original pre-addicted state - before the first drink was consumed, making this program an actual cure for alcoholism.
Drs. Roy Eskapa and David Sinclair of The Sinclair Method have put together a sound scientific book that proves that with this particular method, alcoholism can be cured in more than 78 percent of patients. What’s more, the treatment avoids the dangerous withdrawal symptoms, allowing patients to detox gradually and safely while they are still drinking. This removes the need for expensive and unpleasant inpatient rehabilitation programs. Actual drinking levels and cravings automatically decrease until control over alcohol is restored. The bottom line is that patients can control their drinking or stop altogether with the simple yet powerful process outlined in The Cure for Alcoholism.
Including a new introduction by actress Claudia Christian about The Sinclair Method’s impact on her life, updated trial information, and a letter explaining the treatment that can be given to doctors by patients, The Cure for Alcoholism is a revolutionary book for anyone who wants to gain control over drinking.

Redundant
States the same information over and over—must take naltrexone with alcohol for it to work. Mentions some studies it but is 4+ hours of the same message. Could have been a pamphlet.

this does work
I am a 100% disabled veteran ... I have been an alcoholic for over 25 years...before i listened to this book i was 30 days into using naltrexone.. I requested it from VA and they gave it to me but did not tell me anything about how to use it... just take it and dont drink.... although i new i was on the right track something was off.... this book cleared it up for me.... it is worth to me the 10 bucks I paid for those extra tips about using this medication ..less than the same cost of one trip to the liqure store on any given day... everyday I am less interested to have my drink.... this shit works.... do it!! for yourself your family your friend or someone that needs help...

repeats same statements incessantly
very repetitive. not scientific at all. it makes claims, then backs further claims with previous claims.

Great book. Disappointed with the short ending!
Great book! Great read! Disappointed with the abrupt ending! Seriously, it could have used a few more paragraphs to end it!

Very valuable
The information in the book is quite valuable.
The only issue so repetition of the same info over and over and over and over again.

Tries to make Sinclair into Jesus
anyone who is ever been part of a research team knows that the person who is the first listed on a research article is the person who did the least work. I am interested in this book because of the science and what I am getting is testimonial after testimonial and a pseudo religious adoration for somebody who was the principal investigator on a few studies. maybe naltrexone helps people but the way it is portrayed here makes me sour on the whole issue. I agree that the way we are treating addiction is barbaric but this story is 90% fiction.

Stop struggling!
I have struggled with alcoholism and all the problems that come with it for over 30 years, yet I was compelled to drink. This is the simple, impossible solution I thought was to good to be True! After 30 years of feeling defective, I no longer crave alcohol constantly, yet enjoy a few drinks when the occasion arises. I AM A NORMAL DRINKER
