    Description

What the world dreads most has happened because of a mutated avian bird flu (H5N1) pandemic. It has ravaged the globe. Only 2% of the population has survived. A dying mother knows that her young child is among the few remaining immune to the virus. What will she do to ensure his survival before her own coming tragic death?

Meanwhile, Graham has buried his last remaining family member. Following his father's advice to make it to the family cabin, he meets with triumph and tragedy; learning new rules along the way. Just when he thinks he's finally got a handle on this new world, he's taken by surprise, as he learns he's not alone. A hidden yet vulnerable community of Preppers are nearby. Will he find the strength to escape these dangers and go on living? And more importantly, will he have the ability to protect those he's come to trust?

If you like post apocalyptic novels, you'll like this one.

Not a great novel, but worth the read. The story was good with a few unusual twist. It got a little stupid right at the end, But it was still fun to read.

    First-rate book

I really liked listening to this story. The characters are great, and I'm hooked on finding how it turns out for them. I recommend this book. Now for the obligatorily: This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. And I'm damn glad A.R. Shaw let me have the Audio form of this book. Since I can't justify the expense of getting the audio format for all in the series, I'm off to Amazon to get the Kindle versions. :)

    To say the least,

I was shocked when the book ended. I was so into it, I didn't even realize it was about to end. I was listening to the audio version. Needless to say, my next read will be China Pandemic book two. I love survival stories, and this one is certainly not run of the mill. It has everything you could want; good guys, bad guys, hunting, fishing, romance, thankfully kept to a minimum, and realism.

Mixed bag of good and bad.

Once past the jerky beginning story finds its feet and moves at a decent pace. Needs a better editor/sounding board. 15yo girls are written like they are 11yo waifs most of the time. 5yo boy written like he should be 12+ Protagonist is borderline too stupid/naive to survive in the environment portrayed *I'll chalk it up to luck and just roll with it. It's not horrible, but the author could have used some constructive guidance in the early drafts. Performance is adequate.

    Predictable, un-entertaining and returned.

Very basic story that makes no sense, AT ALL! Not even worth a free credit. I made it through five chapters waiting for a reason to not return the selection. The most interesting story line ended after a sick nother leaves her kid with the main character. When she died so did the story.

    I've tried... 3 times

I've tried to listen to this story, but the narrator's monotone voice and the unimaginative story really make it tough. honest, youd all have more fun a playing crash up derby with 8th grader while your hands are zip tied behind your back

I tried hard to like this.

The China Pandemic Graham's Resolution, Book 1 By: A. R. Shaw Narrated by: Darriel Driml This sounded like a good idea but ended flat. I almost stopped multiple times but wanted to give it a chance.

    I wanted to like it.

I searched for sugested pandemic or end of the world novels and was led to this series. I wanted to like it but the story telling was not my style. It felt like it was written by an inexperienced author or even a high school student. I tried it and had to listen on 1.25 speed to just get through it. I was never a soap opera fan or sitcom fan and this kind of reminds me of those. I will be returning it for sure.

    Very average

Pretty good storyline. There were some pretty obvious things that had me wondering “why in the world would anyone do it that way” but I guess the story has to run its course reguardless of how I see it. Overall I just think it’s yet another interesting premise that is not fully fleshed out by a true author. The post apocalyptic genre is flooded with these kinda books that are being self published by preppers that feel that they have a story to tell but who aren’t true authors. Some work out and are decent and some are just terrible. This book is kinda average I would say. Not terrible and I would say I might actually get the next book to see if it gets better. Another gripe I have is them breaking what should be one novel into three very short books or more and calling it a series. I think it’s dishonest and they should offer the entire series as a box set for one credit in order to give the listener at least a good deal since the content is usually subpar anyway. That would at least get their material out there a little better imo. The fact is tho that almost everything being offered on kindle unlimited is of very poor quality or very old. This book would be no exception and I would only recommend it if you are totally into this specific genre and are marking all the post apocalypse series off your reading wish list for this genre because it is certainly NOT a high quality work that would compare to what you find with a true author and editor. In other words it reads like a prepper housewife writing a poor, somewhat predictable and boring apocalypse story. Sorry, just being honest.
