Description
In 1974, Trilateral Commission member and academic Richard Gardner wrote an article "The Hard Road to World Order" for Foreign Affairs magazine, predicting the future of the Commission's self-proclaimed new international economic order. Gardner spoke of an "end-run around national sovereignty", a "booming, buzzing confusion", and building it from the "bottom up" rather than attempting an "old-fashioned frontal assault".
After almost 45 years, it is time to examine the record. In Technocracy: The Hard Road to World Order, Wood traces the steps and developments that led to the United Nations' establishment of sustainable development goals as an outgrowth of historic technocracy from the 1930s.
UN programs such as 2030 Agenda, New Urban Agenda, and the Paris Climate Agreement are all working together to displace capitalism and free enterprise as the world's principal economic system.
As a resource-based economic system, sustainable development intends to take control of all resources, production, and consumption on Earth, leaving all of its inhabitants to be micromanaged by a scientific dictatorship. Topics covered in this audiobook include the devolution of federal governments combined with the rise of global smart cities.
Tools are examined, like ubiquitous surveillance, collaborative governance, public-private partnerships, reflexive law, fintech, including cryptocurrencies, and the drive toward a cashless society. The spiritual aspect of sustainable development is also explored as an important component of manipulation.
Looking underneath the cover of globalization, Wood shatters the false narrative of a promised utopia and exposes the true nature of the deception used to promote this new economic order. Those elite who hate the bedrock of American liberty and its time-tested constitution have pulled out all the stops to destroy both, and it's time for citizens to stand up to reject them. As always, Wood closes with the nature of effective resistance and the tools that can help to achieve success.

A MUST !! Understand and Read documents of world r
Who runs it? Best book and researcher out there today!!
--the history is deep and long and this lays the foundation of how
a "virus" could provide those in control to take an opportunity to shut down/alter forever the world ecomony.
Patrick has a wonderful voice. I always enjoy hearing authors read their own work.
He also has a weekly Podcast & website. This is the most important book-explaining where
we are --global lockdown to transition to full blown a webbed technocratic tracking system for all.

It should be read especially from people who are in favor of Cryptocurrency
Having known this myself for quite some time, the veil is getting now more and more lifted as the CO2 debate, the global banking crisis and the political disruption are rising. If you wish to understand how this all ties together, you should read this with an open mind.

Absolutely a MUST READ!
With this book, Patrick Wood connects all the dots. He ties "sustainable development", the UN's constant refrain, as the 21st century's term for technocracy. This is in effect the complete control of humanity and the re-allotment of the remaining earth's resources into the few hands of those already at the very top who are responsible for driving this agenda. He demonstrates how the climate change agenda is the prime tool for pushing the technocratic agenda. A clearly presented view of the big picture. Llsten to this and become aware. As he states in the book, the UN technocratic sustainable development plans will not be leaving anyone of us intact ... "no one left behind" ....

Profoundly Unsettling!
Patrick Wood has done a thorough job at exposing the juggernaut of sustainable development and the policies currently being implemented to insure this dystopian nightmare becomes a reality. His writing is systematic and succinct as he delves into the origins of Technocracy and traces it's steps to where we are today. He does not hold back as he exposes the parties involved and methods employed at all governmental levels to ensure we wake up in a global technocratic future. Be prepared to be a little shocked and a whole lot outraged. But mostly be prepared....our national sovereignty depends on it!

Very relevant specially on days of Covid 19
This book is worth listening more than once. It gets into the details of how our society is being converted into a technocracy and how con we identify matters and situations by listening and analyzing what is presented to us.

Erudite, Captivating, and Hopeful
This is one of the rare deeply and extensively researched books that is so widely and authentically sourced it is guaranteed to create a powerful epiphany for the reader / listener. If you, like most people, cannot fathom what forces have brought about the never ending political circuses and polarization on the domestic and international stages, then you'll finally be able to connect the dots on a chaotic 'booming, buzzing' smokescreen cleverly hiding a parallel system of governance and economics being created today. The technological scaffolding of this new system is both Orwellian and highly seductive. In the space of one generation we stand to lose all we hold dear.
Wood explained the profound and tangled historic roots of Technocracy in his first book Technocracy Rising. In this next book he patiently explains how Technocracy as an ideology and agenda is synonymous with Sustainable Development, a Trojan horse methodically dismantling representative government and free markets.
Sustainable Development is the driver for a totalitarian Technocracy. It wears a cloak of environmentalism and bears a Post Modern pseudo-Marxist battering ram (e.g. Green New Deal) for a new age of feudalism. It is entirely global and implemented uniformly across the board if one peers behind the geopolitical chaos.
Name a thing for what it is and you take away its power. Know your adversary and the tactics being used to suffocate free speech, the right to travel freely, and the right for the common man and woman to possess private property. With crystal clarity, Wood dives into essential tactics to master such as the emergence of reflexive law and regionalism driven by outside committees creating state and local government policies. There are practical and effective solutions we can take in our own communities right now to turn back the tide. I highly recommend this book for any person in any nation who cares what the future may hold for their children and grandchildren.

Informative
The author has done his homework. This is full of information about the world around us, and the agenda of some to control many. The very thing that can grant us freedom might be a trojan horse that will enslave us in the end.
