Jen has discovered a secret. If she tells her husband Jason, will he forgive her for telling the truth? If she tells someone else in Jason's family, she'd not only tear them apart but could also find herself on the outside. But if she keeps this to herself, how long can she pretend nothing is wrong? Jen knows the truth - but is she ready for the consequences?

Very disappointed in the ending....
I feel like it needs a part 2!

Wrong Narrator for this Novel

The higher-pitched voice of the narrator comes across as too young for the middle-aged protagonist, and her interpretation too cutesy for the plot and subject matter. At times, it verges on helium squeaks, while her attempt at male voices slides down the scale to stuffy growls. In a word, Rawlins' voice is absolutely wrong for a Fallon novel, and is - bottom line - highly off-putting. She does this book no favors.

The Family that got Away....

Jen was a lovable character however I kind of wished she had just minded her own buisness when it came to her inlaws. My family has never been that close either in real life, so I could see her longing for the bond of a larger friendly surroundings. Most ever family has something to hide in their closets, I just wish she had not chosen to look for the skeletons in the Masterson's closet. Jason was a boring dud and one of those people you just want to say
"WHAT was I thinking kinda thing?"
My thoughts is Jen knew her and Shaun were a better match then her and Jason at 1st glance.
The ending was a bitter sweet one I suppose?
Im still out to lunch on that one.
Penelope Rawlins did a 5 star narration on a 3star Jane Fallon written material.
It's not the best from Fallon I've read or listened too? I'd say its worth a credit on a rainy day.
