    Spoiled by the next two volumes

    This first volume out of three is great in and of itself, but compared to the two volumes that follow it, I did find it way too short, and too focused on retelling events instead of going into more details of logistics, production and decision-making.

    It does remain as a great introduction to the war of the Pacific, and is worth a listen in combination with the two follow up books.

    The reading is perfect and I have nothing negative to say about it.
