At the School for The Work, each day begins with a meditation. "Meditation is a word for being still and taking some time to notice the kindness and support of reality," Katie says.

These meditations are designed to help you notice your thoughts, even the angry, scary, and sad ones. If you notice any that cause you stress, you are invited to write them down and do "The Work" on them. Each thought is like a little child looking for love, approval, and appreciation.

Lacks tone, cadence and softness

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I have many of her books and audios and find her teachings very helpful. However this guided meditation sounds stilted and detached. Sounded forced and overly measured

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Very disappointed

Any additional comments?

Definitely try other Katie material, I have several of her works, but this guided meditation is awful by comparison to Louise Hay or Deepak Chopra

Wake up Refreshed

When I listen to this meditation right before I go to bed I sleep deeply & wake up relaxed.

It's a beautiful meditation

I love this meditation. There are many levels to it. First it really allowed me to experience support in a whole new way. Next, it is a wonderful way to catch false beliefs and challenge your thoughts.

This is the best!

Katie:s guided meditations, connects me to my inner myself and thus to the universal self.. I am centered in the NOW..

Best guilted meditation I’ve heard yet.

I have been practicing meditation now for about 2 years and have never had a deeper more enlightened guided meditation. What I loved most was that this meditation works with my thoughts and not just dismiss missing them out of hat. I now know what work I need to do! Thank you Katie!

A meditation that brings stillness and peace.

Centering. Peaceful. I thoroughly enjoyed this meditation. I found myself coming back to peace over and over even with a busy mind.

jemand hustet im.Hintergrund....das macht mich so aggressiv...wie kann man da meditieren. ich bin ein Fan von katie byron u hätte nicht gedacht, dass sie so etwas unprofessionell herausgibt.

Ich meditiere bereits regelmäßig, halte aber diesen Prozess für äußerst wirkungsvoll. Byron holt uns immer wieder zurück zum wesentlichen und ein tolles Gefühl stellt sich ein.b

unusable

Although the title is meditations (in the plural)
the whole 54 minutes come as one track, one chapter.
While meditating I didn't notice any real separation between different meditations, they all blend together into one long one.
What is more, you are not properly guided back out of these meditations either, not even at the very end.
What brings you back to reality is the cheerful "audible hopes you've enjoyed this programme " at the end of the recording.
So guess who fell asleep and woke up with a start....
As much as I love Katie's "Loving what is ", this recording is a disappointment.
