    best book of series

    best book of series. so different from show but worth every minute. kept me engaged whole time

    AMAZING

    i really wish the tv show would have followed the books more closely ! the story is so much more exhilarating and suspenseful and just way more in depth and really just pulls you in and captivates your emotions and your mind . i couldn’t stop listening 10/10 i recommend these books to everyone

    Not the best Dexter book

    Jeff Lindsay is an awesome narrator for his books, but this was my least favorite Dexter story so far.

    Back to being amazing. probably my favorite Dexter

    My favorite dexter so far. Twist and turns and pure nerveracking fun. Also loved the fact it touched on all the main characters so far, Deb,Chutsky,Doakes, the kids Rita. and even the bad guys were great, by far Dexter's toughest so far. highly recommended

    A good listen

    Although the quality of this story is lesser than the previous entries in the series. It is still an enjoyable continuation of the Dexter series and I would recommend it to anyone that enjoyed the other entries.

    takes a while to get interesting for a very small pay off, I loved the other books but this one isn't the best.

    Nail bitter

    Very interesting story once again by Lindsay! I was on the edge of my seat 99% of the book. There were several parts where I was actually laughing out loud at dexters thoughts and jokes. Some of it was quite predictable but it was still entertaining- definitely good read.

    As with all of the dexter books I've read so far, I would rather not have Lindsay being the one to narrate his own books. I like the idea of him reading his own books he just doesn't sound like the way I would imagine Dexter would sound. So once you get over his goofy voice you actually start to enjoy the story.

    Another dull ending

    I keep finding myself eager to get to the end of the book, but being disappointed by the ending. The whole story was great until what seemed to be a rushed resolution. Either way, the books are great.

    Dexter has become truly dismal

    I’m very disappointed in the change in tone for our hero. The last Book was a warning but I didn’t listen. Dexter has become an every day, run of the mill, stupid human. He makes stupid mistakes the reader can see coming from chapters away. Such a bummer. I won’t be listening/reading any more of these books. The magic of such an original hero character has been lost in what feels like an attempt to tame down an idea to be more palatable to the masses.
